King County Court shutdown yesterday and canceled ALL bail hearings. Protestors are stuck in jail. This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. WA State court rules that jailed individuals will be released within 1 business day of their warrantless arrest in absence of specific findings by a judge.

The #1 reason cops are panicking around “defunding” police to fund social services is because it’ll show how obsolete they’ve become. We will decriminalize every nonviolent crime (less than 1% of 911 calls are for violent crimes) and pay social workers to respond instead of cops.

Minimum Wage should be set at whatever “low income” is in the city you’re in. Someone earning $67,500 a year on Oahu is considered low-income. Which means Hawaii’s minimum wage should be $33.75. Seattle family earning under $72,000 is low-income. $15 an hour isn’t cutting it.

Just a reminder that SPD only administered a drug blood test for Jaahnavi, not the cop going 50 over the limit. The cop driving 74mph in a 25mph zone just got a back door “evaluation” conducted by the VP of Seattle’s Police Union. Same guy caught laughing at Jaahnavi’s death.

I was upset from the moment @Mariners staff started harassing us but what sent me over was when this manager put me on trial in front of our whole section. He turned our section into a grand jury and dehumanized us. If this is really the “policy” it needs to change immediately.

Trader Joe’s Cap Hill (17th & Madison) called cops on Black Trans Womxn after claiming she stole 2 ITEMS. Workers tried to pay for it/begged management not to involve police. Manager Jimmy called anyway and jumped into patrol car to identify her. 5 cops showed up to arrest her.

Please stop calling the cops during situations that don’t require cops. Especially on Black and Indigenous people. Violent crime dropped over 71% since the early 90’s and less than 2% of calls made to police is for violent crimes. Finding alternative solutions will save lives.
