Commute, University District (Detroit) to Kitab Cafe and Bookstore (Hamtramck), via 6 Mile (McNichols) and Joseph Campau. Sometimes you just gotta cycle six mile. The Joe Louis Greenway from Hamilton to Campau can't open soon enough.

I have a bike. I ride it for recreation. I only commuted with it a few times. I got an electric cargo bike. I commute with it, go to the grocery store, and go out to dinner or events with friends. E-bikes don't replace bikes, they replace cars. Eliminating car trips is good.

And while everyone is free to make their own financial decisions, I do have an issue with people daily driving large trucks in the city purely for commuting or errand running purposes. They're dangerous, polluting, anti-social, and take up far too much space in urban areas.
