Wednesday - Eindhoven, Netherlands Dutch fries are crazy good, and I wanted to learn the secret. Google translated & spoke in broken Dutch: "can I work here for a few hours?" had endless supply of fries & now friends with the founder of a national frietje met restaurant chain

Monday - Amsterdam Really wanted a chicken hotdog at a cash-only food stand, but didn't bring cash. I don't speak a word of Dutch and he doesn't understand English. Ended up drawing pictures on a notepad to communicate and got a free hotdog in exchange for Canadian chocolate

Tuesday - Dusseldorf, Germany visited a vintage shop & fell in love with their style. walked in as a visitor, came out as a business partner to export Canadian vintage items to Germany

Friday - Amsterdam, Netherlands walked around the city for an entire day, and decided i'd ask 10 random strangers for compliments to see if they'd be happy to. 7 times out of 10, it actually worked. people really see things in you that you might not see in yourself <3
