I matched into @ColumbiaDerm ! Five years ago I started medical school, and now, I am the first black man to match into dermatology at my institution. Stick to your dreams; you never know where your prayers, hard work, and good intentions will take you. Elated to say the least. 🙏🏾

Five years ago, I recall applying to medical school and the uncertainty that came with it. Cycles of faith, doubt, hope, prayer, fear, but in the end, the cycle ended with triumph. Five years later, I am hoping for triumph during this dermatology residency application season!

A simple, yet powerful phrase that has impacted my life so heavily is “the worst you can hear is no”. Shoot your shot. What may seem like rejection really is just you finding the right door that you already hold the key to.

Reading this thread reminded me of my @PrometricGlobal experience during STEP 1. While some proctors were fine, there were some who were rude and contributed to noticeable distractions during the test. It felt as though they saw us all as those "annoying type A students".

I thought coming home after finally finishing the USMLE step series would be such a victorious moment. Instead I’m replaying the moment where my examiner told me he “did not like my attitude” and proceeded to turn off my computer MID-EXAM.

@tomypatrich Love this review series! Another thing that helps give it away on questions (for me) is the hair growth. With AIS there is no or very sparse hair but with 5aRD def due to the high levels of unconverted testosterone hair growth is present still in the vignette

@UKOkoji 100% the large for both top and pants. Made the mistake and bought medium bottoms and large tops per a recommendation…and it’s not 💪🏾🦵🏾 friendly imo. I am now considering buying new pants 😭
