Hope is such an outlier in basketball attendance it kind of defies description. 4th in a good basketball state with 7 D1 programs and 10 D2 programs. Only Michigan State, Michigan and Oakland draw more. Twice as many as the next D3.
Cannot stress enough to D3 broadcasters, please stop showing replays during live action and/or cutting to different camera angles in the middle of play.
VICTORY! Hope 11, Trine 2. The Flying Dutchmen complete the doubleheader sweep at Trine, wrap up the MIAA championship outright. Hope (26-8, 17-4 MIAA) will be the No. 1 seed for next week's league Tournament.

Riley Lewis, Preston Granger and Tyler George are Hope's bb captains. I think Tyler is only the second Sophomore to be named a captain. The other was Duane Bosma.
Nick Bowman averaged 2.3 points and 7 minutes played in 2019-20
2020-21 he averaged 21.8 points and led the league
This is nothing but hard work, very impressive.
Regardless of outcome it was a great experience for both Yeshiva and IWU in lot more ways than just basketball.
Great to see more big cross region games being played these days.
Good trivia question I don't know the answer to.
Name the last MIAA athlete before Hope's TJ McKenzie to win both an MIAA football and basketball championship in the same season.
Traveling around the D3 world, I'm very appreciative of what Hope stands for and the people that hold true to Hope's mission. Constant reminders of the better person that school has tried to make me.

I watched the Nate Oats coached Romulus basketball team lose in the Class A semi-finals to a Rockford team with Hope's Chad Carlson and Alma's Scott Nikodemski and Chase Fairchild in 2012.
Mason Oppel 6-3 F has been added to Hope's roster. Notable for being the MIAA football MVP as Hope's QB.
Imagine he'll be a bigger body wing to low post banger for the Dutchmen.
The WIAC is doing an 8 team tournament with double byes for its top 2 seeds.
Everyone gets to play and you protect your best two teams NCAA criteria.
This is how the MIAA should be doing it.
I have very mixed feelings about the MIAA's 8 team tournament.
You're hurting your top two seeds NCAA positioning by playing the 7/8 seeds
It would be better for the 1-2 seeds to get double byes into the semi-finals.

With a couple games to go, I have Trine as the highest rated MIAA team in the last 18 years by efficiency . Currently a few 10ths above Calvin's 2013 team and Hope's 2008 team.
People are protesting a decision made by the MHSAA at a location that is not the MHSAA.
