Hyperinflation is truly scary. I arrived in Lebanon on Monday when it was 45000 Ibp to 1 usd. 4 days later it's now 48900 Ibp to 1 usd. 10% in 4 days. And I thought Argentina was bad.

People buy altcoins because they're looking for "good deals," which is really paying less for a similar good than their neighbor. Bitcoin maximalists buy Bitcoin because it fills a need by providing a good store of value. We are not the same.

Credit should be based on reputation that was earned through relationship. It's now created in a systematic way so that the favored people get it, regardless of reputation. Credit should be a function of bilateral relationships, not a policy set by an authority.

Let the enemies of Bitcoin attack it. If the attack is successful, we'll find mitigations and be steeled against similar attacks in the future. If the attack fails, then it'll prove to the market that Bitcoin has a strong defense. Either way, Bitcoin improves.

Some dumb people are going to subsidize miners with lots of BTC fees and realize soon after that they could do it for a tiny fraction on their own website. In the meantime, they'll buy BTC which they won't get back. This is good for Bitcoin.
