My dad prayed publicly in worship today. Why do I post this? Because from the time I was 10 till the time I was 29 I wanted him to be converted so bad. I prayed and prayed. Sometimes I gave up hope. But 3 years ago God saved Him at age 60. Salvation belongs to the Lord.

Bradyn, our oldest, felt a burden for his sins last Sunday night during family worship. He read Romans on his own this week &feels he’s been converted. He announced this today to our church family. We are amazed at God’s grace & praying for our son! Hope to baptize in early 2021.

Our local church tonight voted to move on from BFM 2000 & officially adopt the 1689 2nd London baptist confession of faith as our statement of faith. We voted to adopt bylaws that move us from a deacon/committee ran church to an elder-led church. Praise God for His work here!

Our church van hit a deer earlier this summer. It cost $5,000 for repair. The body shop gave me a free coffee voucher when I picked up the van. In essence, I got to drink a $5,000 coffee. I felt like an SBC seminary president.

I began preaching in ‘06. My younger brother has never been to hear me preach. The last 12 yrs or so of his life he’s been on drugs. He’s still not a believer but he’s staying with my parents currently & came to church today. This was a big answer to prayer. His name is Brodie.

We have seen % of church size in SBC. Here’s a more alarming statistic: There are 15+ mil members on church rolls in all SBC churches. Only 5+ mil show up every Sunday. Over 66% of our members seem to be unregenerate. This is why carnality has taken center stage in many places

As an M.Div-less southern baptist pastor, it is disappointing to me to see so many pastors in the SBC with an MDiv from one of our 6 seminaries who do not seem to understand sound, baptist, biblical, Christ exalting, ecclesiology.

I believe abortion is actually murdering a child. I believe homosexuality is sin. Desiring it. Acting on it. All of it. I believe the Bible is our final authority & sufficient for knowing & obeying God and dealing w/ sin in the church. Does this make me a fundamentalist? 🤔
