At the cost of sounding repetitive,these are the kind of pitches that deserve the outrage that is usually reserved for turners. Turners may make Batters look like a fool but they aren't a threat to their safety but still one is seen as "doctoring" while other is "challenging".

Dhoni wouldn't have got same results had he tried to imitate Ganguly or Dravid. Virat took India to no.1 test side without emulating Dhoni. So why does Rahane's calmness become reason to ridicule Kohli? Game is about different characters. Don't force one's personality to other..

For me, DK's legacy will always be how he continually adapted his game to new roles. He made his debut before Dhoni, and once the keeper's position was locked, he reinvented himself as a pure batter, even being picked as a batter for the ODI World Cup in 2007. (1/n)

But Duncan had a firm belief that batsmen who cut and pull well, would make good ODI openers. So he pushed this idea & was ready to give him long run. Dhoni and other seniors had amazing respect for Duncan's technical knowledge so he trusted his call without any disagreement..

Right before series, all indian batters were called for a meeting to study his variations. Sehwag being Sehwag said that he didn't need that as he faced him *enough* in Asia Cup (Fun fact: Till then, Sehwag faced just 2 deliveries against him & was stumped out in one of them)

Looked fine for me. It wasn't spinning in, it was straightening. So it doesn't matter if it's two yards away or 1000 yards.. the ball tracker would have predicted the straight line.

Both Crawley & the umpire Erasmus should be livid with this DRS reversal. 2.5 stumps were visible on impact. There's no way the hawk eye should be returning 'hitting' on stumps. At best, it should have been umpire's call. India have caught a lucky break.
