Still, not everybody who wanted to come could make it, be it due to schedule, flights, weather, recent earthquakes or personal reasons. We try to continue this place to be available until the time when you can come
The next C105 will also be the kickoff into the 50th anniversary year of Comiket, with the 50th birthday coming up on December 21, 2025. On the same day in 1975, Comic Market started with 32 circles and 700 participants. Who then could have imagined today’s Comic Market

We will be targeting 120,000 participants per day, an additional 30,000 to C101. Preparations have already begun. We will let you know about ticketing as soon as anything has been decided.
It's now 100 days into 2023, so already 100 days since Comic Market 101 and only 4 month to C102, to be held August 12-13.
It's been a quiet time for news but preparations are progressing. Tickets should be much easier to obtain (to be announced). Start planning your summer!
The online catalog for Comic Market 103 is now available in a simple English interface for free as beta version. After creating an account, you can browse the list of circles including their info and bookmark your favorites.

A Happy New Year!
Took us a whole day to recoup enough to get back online. Again thank you to all who participated at Comic Market 103 (C103). The next C104 will be held August 12 and 12, 2024 again at the Tokyo Big Sight. Looking forward to meet you all there.
We tried to support you with the e-tickets, and on-site with 2 International Desks, a translation hotline for staff to call, and placing teams of multi-language staff at 7 critical locations throughout the venue. You have probably seen us with our pink vests
Today we are having the last all-staff meeting towards C103 at the rainy Tokyo Big Sight for all 3000 volunteer staff, bringing everybody up to speed on changes at C103.
Many section will have further meetings during December preparing for the event.
The list of shops carrying the C101 paper catalog has just been made public. On sale Dec. 3!

International participants are also continuously increasing with many languages audible throughout the venue. Based on e-ticket sales and from the log of the International Desk, we know participants from at least 64 countries and regions came to Comic Market 104
Each day of Comic Market 104 will feature completely different genres and all >10,000 circles will change between days. Use the Genre-by-Day overview to make sure to come on the right day.

Overall ticketing will be similar to C102, requiring everybody to purchase a ticket or wristband. Full details will be announced first half of November and ticket sales is planned to start around beginning of December.
Despite a quiet month, preparations for C105 are ongoing! This weekend we had the all-staff C104-lookback and C105-kickoff meeting at the Big Sight.
With just 90 days to C105, details such as tickets will be announced as they are finalized. Expecting it to be mostly like C104
Today’s official count of participants was again 130,000. Both days together it was 260,000. We saw participants from at least 61 different countries and regions. Thank you all for participatinng!
Now less than 2 weeks to Comic Market 104!
To help your organizie your route planning to get your loot, we have published layout maps for circle locations to mark your targets. Use the PDFs or print them at a convenience store near you using the codes.
Most of the 3100 volunteer staff were not even born when Comic Market started. Most circles and participants are likely the same. In that sense, we can say that Comic Market has already crossed generations, and we will do our best to keep passing this baton forward
The Co-Representatives are giving an after-action report to all remaining volunteers, looking back at the event.
Today saw 130,000 participants, bringing the total for two days to 270,000.
We have updated the interntional information map of the venue and surroundings to reflect various (minor) changes at C104.

For staff, tomorrow will be Day 0, the setup day. Summer of 2023 will only be once in a lifetime. Let's hope for some good memories!
C103 update:
Many circles have applied, so we are increasing tables to 26,000 circles in 2 days (+5,000 to C102) by adding East 7 Hall and reducing space between tables somewhat. Cosplay area in E7 will now only be on 2nd day.
Ticket info will be announced later once finalized.
Comic Market is run by about 3,000 volunteer staff.
This weekend we had the C102 First-Timer’s Meeting for all who are newly signing up. Each section tried hard to recruit new members.
In parallel, registration for returning staff and a video lookback at C101 took place

The very first Comic Market was held 48 years ago on December 21, 1975. It was a small event with 32 circles and est. 700 participants, but it was the beginning of everything.
To celebrate the birthday, the staff at the office brought some cake along.
Only 4 weeks until Comic Market 104!
After a merry wedding between volunteer staff yesterday, today we are having the last All-Staff-on-Deck meeting directly at the Tokyo Big Sight. 3000 staff need a whole hall to fit.
Afterwards we’ll have meetings of the individual sections.
After some quiet months of preparation, today we had a meeting for first-time volunteer staff. About 250 gathered to join and support the upcoming Comic Matket 104👏
In paralell, a course on first aid was held for experienced staff. We recommend taking a refresher every few years

One thing to especially share: the 260,000 participants came from _at least_ 64 countries and regions🙌🎉

You can also print them out in large size at a convenience store in Japan using the provided codes.
The placement of tables at C104 has been announced to circles this weekend, with many reporting their participation here on X/Twitter.

All Comic Market 102 (C102) participants will need to buy one of 4 types of tickets, going on sale mid-July. Only PM Entry tickets (valid after 13:30) will be sold on-site. Other types need to be pre-purchased. See thread below or for more

We are still working on the ticketing system for international participants, but can currently tell you the following:

- Payment by credit card to receive a QR code to be shown on entry together with an ID

Setup starts by measuring the halls. Point Zero has been set. Layout of the entire Hall will depends on it, as a difference of few cm per row quickly adds up over the length of 300m.

We are announcing the genres by day and hall of C101. Each day of Comic Market has different circles. About 10,000 of them per day. If you come on the wrong day, you will unfortunately not find what you are looking for.
It’s warehouse cleanup day. Everything just dumped in there on the last night of C102 was pulled out and re-sorted by section and destination for C103.

Some 26 years ago there was an incident with time-fused incendiary devices, putting the treasured books at risk, so this is a very serious topic for us.
Today is Stash House Cleanup Day.
All the supplies that have been just unloaded on the last day of C104 are sorted by section, counted, and switched between summer and winter.
After replenishing consumables, we’ll have another session packing everything up for C105
Comic Market 102 is planned for Aug. 12-13, 2023. With recently announced easing of COVID restrictions, we expect to need much less regulation.
Maximum persons inside is still 126,000 but there are no limits per day. We will try to give more people the opportunity to participate
The lights inside the Halls have been turned off and the tables, chairs and the many Dojinshi quietly await Day 2.

Our "Information for International Participants" page has been rolled over from C103 info to Comic Market 104 (C104) to be held on August 11 and 12, 2024.
Not much there yet, other than some dates, but we'll update it as information becomes available
All circles submit a copy of their new Dojinshi. We give it a check if there is any illegal content, and then the copies are archived in a giant warehouse as historic record.
Comic Market 103, the next Comiket in winter, will be held December 30-31, 2023.
Having entered July, we will now have two whole Comikets within the next 6 months💪🤩

Comic Market 104 was a very hot event with insane 35+C (95+F) temps. Some participants had to rest at First Aid or be taken by ambulance with heatstroke. However still, overall it was a successful event, with all forms of participants coming together for this bi-annual festival
