Almost didn’t read @robkhenderson ’s memoir because being a mum has made me SO sensitive to accounts of children suffering. But after his preface I knew I’d made the right choice (well…worth the tears). An education is never a replacement for a family.

Bigger shock to me is actually the figures for Econ majors. It means they didn’t absorb the point of the socialist calculation debate nor did they look at the historical evidence of socialism in practice. So it would be fascinating to see what economic principles they base

And would add that if you’re a woman who plans to have children, don’t be afraid to act accordingly and unapologetically(!). There are going to be costs either way. I personally went straight to grad school and only stayed 4yrs— a sacrifice, but well worth this beauty:

Took the pup to the vet for his annual check-up and got a serious talk about how he's very healthy but he might be obese soon because the baby will share her food and how someone needs to do a study showing that the biggest risk factor for pet obesity is age of child at home....
