As I wind down on 2024 smokes (summer is having a small resurgence in the UK) I think I’m going to settle on a few cigars that I really love for future years. I don’t need to try everything. I’m just going to buy boxes of stuff I really enjoy, and this will 100% make the list

Every time I do a “I don’t like Davidoff” tweet, everyone replies “try a Late Hour”. So I did, and they were right. An excellent, smooth smoke with a perfect even burn. Great cigar. So I like one Davidoff cigar. Any other genuinely great ones, rather than just good?

I don’t know if this a controversial view or not, but I wouldn’t buy these at £30, so £80 is absolutely insane. There are so many Cubans I’d buy before a Cohiba Robusto, even if pricing was the equal. So overrated.

The first third of this wasn’t great. A bit chemically and acidic. Maybe I should have let it rest longer, I’d had it a few months but no idea how new it was when I got it. The rest was pretty enjoyable. At £28 it’s not a bad option, might grab a box and store them for 2026.

A potentially controversial take: New World cigars haven't surpassed Cubans in taste. Is this narrative a result of Cuban scarcity in the USA along with high prices and undeniably inconsistent build quality, or genuine preference? What's your choice, and where are you from?

Does anyone actually use cedar spills to light their cigars? Or even matches? I think everyone I know is just using a torch lighter. What do you use?
Spills, I’m old school

Anyone else label their boxes like this? Sure, I could use a notes file, but I'd probably lose it. Marking the box itself lets me know exactly when it's time to move it to my main humidor. Looking forward to cracking these open next summer @EPCarrillo !

Do you age your cigars or smoke them fresh? 🕰️ Let’s settle the debate—what’s your preference and why?

Not remotely cigar based, but I’ve been working on this for the last year. If you like football (soccer) or sim gaming, check it out 👇
