My friend has just had a horrible accident near Muguga. There was a rock ON THE FREAKING ROAD. Apparently, this is the 7th accident in less than 24 hours. They’ve witnessed another pileup while there. Thank God boda guys came to the rescue.
I’m convinced KENHA guys sit on social media and go like “ohhhhh. Is that what we should have done?” Then do it. There’s usually zero thought in their plan and it shows. Have you seen the pothole on the highway at Imara Daima? If it rains and you hit it, kwisha wewe.
Our seamstress at Shiku Interiors lost her son today. Her last born daughter is fighting for her life at Mbagathi. Cholera is killing people. We must demand better from our leaders. Clean accessible water is a right! My heart is soooo broken. What is this life???
This is heart breaking. If they’re not killing us with live bullets, their policies are killing us slowly. Either way, it’s a death sentence being a Kenyan.
"I'm here on the streets because I'm mad. Either I find these medicines or I die. I have nothing to lose"
Keziah Mumbi has endometriosis, her brother has asthma. The protests in Kenya are a matter of life and death for them
So I pick Julia from school. After we pass the mama mbogas close to her school, she says she wants a banana. Now, there's absolutely no way I'm turning around, so I tell her I'll buy one for her when we get home.
So I park. The cop reaches into his pocket and gives her a 100 bob and tells her to buy herself 10 bananas. I'm legit in shock. I'm not sure what shocked me more though. Julia's absolute ability to throw me under the bus or the cop who showed my daughter a little kindness.

Last decade, I walked out of an abusive relationship. I built a business doing something I absolutely love. I gave birth to an amazing girl who thinks she knows everything. Her teacher said I should not be surprised when she takes over the world. To my 4th decade, be kind.
MPs. Be warned! This is a revolution. You rural MPs who imagine that your electorate is so uninformed and ignorant that they don’t know what’s going on, the demos are NATIONWIDE. You’re not safe. Your people will know how you voted. Who you prioritised.
As luck would have it, I'm stopped by a cop. Julia, totally unprovoked, "officer, mummy has refused to buy me a banana." Dude looks at me and tells me to 'weka gari kando'. In my head, I'm like this child has just sold me out.
If this government wanted to us to have an effective public health system, they would. The speed at which the expressway is being built just shows that when the presidency wants something done, it will be done. Fast. Our government hates us.
Aki the goal is wealth. Not fame. The way we tear down influencers, athletes, actors, musicians… I’m not that tough. Doubt I’ll ever be. One wrong association or fashion choice will have strangers in ALL OF YOUR BUSINESS.
There’s a story Inooro did about a town in Kirinyaga called Kabare. Guys received cash as land compensation and as Kongowea Mswahili (I’m old) would say, “wakaingia kwenye maisha ya anasa” this clip is hilarious and sad in equal measure.
Please niombeeni kazi. Please. We can do just a media room. With updated decor, we remove the taxidermy, replace the carpet with beautiful hardwood floors, beautiful artwork from a Kenyan artist. I actually have a plan.
My mum lived in a concentration camp and has had to deal with the trauma of her dad being a freedom fighter. For many of us defiance is in our DNA we just needed a bit of courage to get this fight going. We are ready. You can’t kill all of us.
The way people are always giving single mums advise you’d think it’s backed up with at least some cash deposit. Leave the present parent please. Start directing your disrespect/displeasure to the ones who abandoned their children.
There’s so much sadness and grief going on in the world. My heart is breaking for everyone who’s lost a loved one, everyone going through illness or financial insecurity at this time. There’s barely anything to be excited about.
There’s a house being sold for 165M. Yes. 165,000,000. That’s about $1.5M. The architecture is great. But if you’re going to price your property that high, please stage it. It should speak luxe from the moment the door opens. Look at Magnolia Hills.
Safaricom will have you restarting your phone 24 times a day thinking your phone is faulty. Voice calls are dropping, data unreliable…

Today’s show was so exciting to film!

broke down how she transformed this space into what it is + gave lots of tips on how to make small living spaces feel larger! 😍🏠

It’s these overt displays of wealth that are really making me angrier. A CS for less than 2 years and is wearing a Rolex. You and your generations will never know peace.

We’ll all be on the streets on Tuesday. Kujeni muongee huko. Hakuna representatives mnaenda kupatia tubahasha. Come address all the protesters. Gen Z, millennials, GenX… everyone planning to be there on Tuesday. Hata Nganga wa Neno atakuwa.
My brother is schizophrenic and he was over medicated by one of these “highly recommended” doctors very early on in his diagnosis. He became a zombie. My mum, God bless her, managed to get him off the meds. He’s been off meds for over 20 yrs and as happy as any of us.
There is a tweep who last year talked about how Frank Njenga killed his (I think it was a he) mother with meds. The meds messed her mind and at the end she was just a shell of herself. That story of how she was over medicated has stayed with me. These stories need to be told.
My sister brought to my attention that my dad’s friend who we called “Sarūthi” our whole lives is called “Charles”😭 Kikuyus, where did we go wrong as a tribe?
What a good day it was as we launched Flair By Betty. Thank you so much Mama Ida Odinga for gracing our event as our Chief Guest❤️Most of all Thankful to God
Kibaki’s legacy is tainted by Angloleasing. It cost Kenyans approximately KES6B. And heads rolled. Murungaru and Kiraitu were sacked, Mwiraria resigned, travel bans were issued. We’ve been so desensitized to what a billion is by this regime. Almost 16B missing in one scandal.

I went to Nairobi Hospital for the first immunization. Paid 14k. We had insurance but I wasn't having it. Second, Gertrude's, 7k... Subsequent ones, Langata Medical center. For free. The nurse there looked at my card and laughed "umechoka kugongwa? Fever ni ile ile. Karibu..."
@KuiKaringithi
Bladder control, breastfeeding, milk supply issues, PPD, lack of that immediate connection with your child... no one tells you these things.
Kembi Gitura is/was the chair of both CA and KEMSA. That’s extremely disturbing because his KEMSA position was revoked due to corruption yet he still holds the CA position. Like does he only have integrity in one parastatal? Yet… arrrgh. This country is horrible.
We have confirmed EDGAR WABWIRE was arrested at 6AM by order of Senator Gloria Orwoba. She promised Edgar must rot in Jail, she is the complainant. Senator was even here in the morning. He has not been officially booked but he is here. Na kuna orders from abv we can't see him
There churches all over town. NONE has offered demonstrators solace. Not a place to park, not water, not even offering prayers. Are you not buying bread and diapers? Doesn’t your congregation menstruate? All Saints! St. Andrew’s!!! St. Pauls! CITAM Valley Road! Maxwell church.
I'm very happy to see Prof. Magoha as CS. He streamlined UoN while I was there, he did wonders at the examination council. He should have been a natural replacement for Matiang'i. Amina wasn't. All the best Prof.

These concrete boulders in the middle of the road along Waiyaki Way between Kawangware and Deloitte HQ are a death trap. Please instruct the contractor to remove them immediately.
Kids change you. Wanjiku, me, the hater of all things commercial Christmas, loather of premature Christmas decorating. I have a decorated, colour coordinated Christmas tree. Julia loves it and that means more than anything.
He was my favourite visitor. He visited every visiting day, came for every meeting, picked me up when I was suspended, came to see me during music/drama fests/ science congress/ sporting events and always had food and pocket money. The best.
My daughter started year 1 on Tuesday. She loves the fact that she’s wearing a skirt and blouse to school. I’m just thinking about how draining August was. Mum getting covid, my back issues, losing control of one project… but that right there was a milestone to celebrate!

Goodness. My daughter shouts “penda maji.“ everytime you say you need to shower. And won’t stop until you confirm that you’ve had a shower.
