Today is my birthday. The day I turned 14 my parents presented me with a cake - the candles on top, a 1 and a 4. When I blew them out I decided to keep them safe and reuse them on my 41st Birthday. I made it! And life is good 🎂

This is my friend Emma. She was taken from us 20 yrs ago today aged just 19. She was clever, caring & hilariously funny. She was great at acting. She wrote brilliant letters. She had dreams of travelling in a VW camper van. Please know she existed & made the world a better place.

My mum is looking after my 3 kids while I’m having a day out 2 hours away. She’s just messaged to tell me she’s got on the wrong bus with the kids. The youngest has wet herself & the wee has gone into the electrics & now the bus is undriveable & they’re stranded miles from home.

@NotARealWookiee @ginoiseau When my daughter was three she tripped over a small toy box and hurt her foot. She came running over in tears and cried “Mum I’ve hurt my foot on that fucking toy box!” Once I’d recovered I felt ashamed of her word choice but strangely proud of the perfect context 🙈😂

My Aunt gave me this enormous old sink which I’m using as a planter. Used plants left over from my window boxes plus 3 x Petunia 'Tidal Wave Red Velour' that my dad grew from seed. Tidal wave is very apt…could have used those three plants only, they’re growing at such a rate!

@NoContextBrits Horrified when I read headline but if you read full story: Passenger booked a seat 1st class weeks beforehand. “Elderly” woman around **60yo** and hadn’t pre-booked. Train staff eventually found elderly woman a seat in standard class. Passenger was right to stand her ground.

We went away for a couple of weeks and our window boxes grew enormously, we can hardly see out of the windows now 😂 To achieve this look you require an excellent neighbour who loves gardening.
