Now is the time to think about boycotting the Bibi - Ben Gvir government, not when Ben Gvir is Interior Minister. What say you
@ADL
@Conf_of_Pres
@DemMaj4Israel
? Will you commit to boycotting Likud until they renounce their alliance with the Kahanists?
@yarotrof
I cannot believe after telegraphing Kherson for weeks, they punch this by surprise. Although lots of OSINT guys hinted that there was another shoe to drop last week after Kherson.
@GalitDistel
Your racist government promised to stop all the terrorist activity and failed. LOL, you are such failures. And also, why not speak to the religious fanatics in your government who support the pogroms against Palestinians?
@jerryiannelli
@ajlamesa
He's probably where the majority of the country is on this. You know that you can find something personally immoral for whatever reason but not want it to be illegal. I'm not sure why everyone has to approve of everyone else's life choices.
@JimmySecUK
It's really fascinating to see insurgent tactics, like IEDs, that were used by ISIS and other terror groups in Iraq and Afghanistan adopted by the Ukrainians. It's the first time I've seen asymmetrical warfare tactics used by a group I support.
@academic_la
Best PR move - Firing Ben Gvir and Smotrich on October 8th as Lapid suggested. (And given the stupid things they've done, I'd add Karhi and Chkili to this as well.) Then given most Likud MKs along with Netanyahu's wife and son a vacation to a remote island with no Wifi.
@nexta_tv
The most hilarious thing about it is those passports are supposedly garbage. The collaborators all tried to flee to Russia and were denied entry.
@Re1nCS
@SwannMarcus89
Dude, we are talking about a guy in the video who fantasizes about how destroying Israel would destroy global capitalism. You don't get how that is full of dog whistles?
@academic_la
More likely to prevent Senior Political Factor from tanking the deal like he did a few weeks ago with the last one. It was smart to wait until Shabbat to pull this. Biden learned how Israeli politics operate.
@obolobova
@zoyashef
@HankeVela
@IlvesToomas
There have been videos of Russian tourists. And my understanding is that Russians in general have been incredibly arrogant this summer in the EU while on vacation because they believe that the West will fold and they will win. It's time to put these people in their place.
@nolanwpeterson
How did they push the amount of armor into Kharkiv without anyone catching on where the real strike was going to take place? Also, they managed to keep up the deception even today with the other shoe dropping around Lyman and Izyum.
@juliaioffe
@asymmetricinfo
1. All the competent troops are in Ukraine.
2. He smartly took Rostov first and controls the HQ of the area.
3. The units left in Russia are not interested in dying for Putin.
@Sunni_Labeouf
@EylonALevy
@iditsilman
I think that any government minister would be attacked. People understand that they are complicit in the failure here and the response has been unprofessional and uncaring. There is special animus toward Silman because she brought down the last gov't for a ministry.
@ZelenskyyUa
@RishiSunak
Thank God that everyone in the UK is on the same page on support for Ukraine and that Sunak cannot take advice from Dominic Cummings.
@Sunni_Labeouf
@EylonALevy
@iditsilman
There's been anger at the gov't since the judicial coup laws were introduced and it is likely in overdrive now. Everything I heard is that people are mad. The amount of incompetence since Saturday is just crazy.
@academic_la
You mean the man who was in an Israeli prison for murder until Netanyahu released him in a poorly conceived prisoner exchange to get out of a political jam?
@DavidSacks
@sethharpesq
Yes. Ukraine should "kneel" and give up their sovereignty to Russia because they cannot oust the Russians as rapidly as probably the Americans could. I think that the Ukrainians are doing rather well and will retake Kherson soon.
@KyivIndependent
Because it'll make Dear Leader Bibi look really bad in comparison. The Dictator of Caesarea doesn't want the pictures of Ze at the Expo or talking to the abductees.
@JamesSurowiecki
It's antisemitic for a university to say punish students under their speech codes for using the wrong pronouns but not provide Jewish students with any protection from ugly hate speech. You cannot single out one minority group and say they don't get protection.
@academic_la
My thoughts on this is that Biden is using this to get Bibi to agree to a hostage deal. I don't think there is going to be an indictment but I think that Biden finally realized what Bibi actual cares about - himself.
@NTarnopolsky
Well, they found two bodies in Al Shifa already. It wouldn't shock me if there were others. This is psychological terror that they are doing right now.
@academic_la
It's highly unlikely that Iran's response will lead to regional war. Bennett pointed out in an interview that Iran is more than willing to risk Palestinian and Lebanese lives but grows timid when their regime is directly threatened.
@yashar
But apparently Queen Rania doesn't care about the 200+ hostages being held in Israel. She doesn't care about the women being gang-raped now by Hamas thugs. Some feminist she is...
@PopulismUpdates
The thing is that he might continue with the judicial coup because he cannot win another term. So the Heroes of Israel need to go to the streets again if he tries something.
@olex_scherba
I'm going to take this one with a grain of salt. But it won't shock me that this is what the strategic objective is once they consolidate.
@yashar
Mainly due to the neglect of the Israeli government who prefer to bring the hostages home in coffins than negotiate a deal because of politics and because their families pissed off the Dictator's wife by demonstrating against her husband.
@academic_la
Bibi is playing politics with this and trying to same Gantz and prevent him from leaving while Gantz will remain his fig leaf with no power. Gantz needs to leave the government now. This is only being used by Bibi to ensure that he gets through the summer Knesset session.
@Vokabre
Indeed. I think a majority of the hostages are probably dead and were probably dead prior to their bodies being taken to Gaza. They plan to blame Israel for it by saying they were killed in air strikes.
@mattyglesias
They don't seem to get that having a non-fashy government would help them immensely. If they had shown Ben Gvir the door and shoved him out where he belonged on Oct 8th, they'd have received alot more credit.
@yarotrof
This is what you get by having a failed government of clowns that spent 10 months attacking the Israeli judiciary and trying to make Bibi dictator for life.
@shaunwalker7
Also some practical issues... You better believe that the the Ukrainians Special Forces and SBU and the partisans and Mr. HIMARs are going to be working overtime. The car bombings, assassinations, and other activities in these areas are already at Iraq insurgency level.
@Sportydoodle
@JimmySecUK
Yes he is. But I was actually talking about Zaluzhny - the main commander of the Ukrainian military. There is another guy under him who is the tactical genius who planned this one.
Israeli protesters are singing the anthem ‘Hatikva’ at Jerusalem train station on their way back after a mass protest and a day of general strike all over Israel, trying to prevent the gov from legislating the judicial coup
@NTarnopolsky
The government cannot even do this simple thing because they know they'll be heckled. The only person who appears to have shown up to visit the wounded was Bennett and a few members of Labor.
