Some people have done groundbreaking things that they don't remember;
all buried in overwork, back-to-back burnouts and for some - ailing health.
There were significant milestones that they didn't even recognise because it was all about the next task to be checked off.

All 364 days before the 365th day, he was 24 years and X days.
So he is correct. He was 24.
Just heard a conversation where it was said that NIBSS uses money that settlement banks have with CBN to facilitate
#payments
.
This is not the true picture. It is too conceptual to be the truth.
NIBSS/NIP is not directly involved in 'moving' money.

We really should be telling our stories, and abstracting our local practices for global application.
Just that we are focused on hustling for more money and focusing less on value and diversity.
That era of keeping quiet is gone sha.
I will make noise on this social media. I will wake up and tell stories about the things I have wrought in the past, and in present times.
I will weave it into anecdotes, frameworks and legacy-worthy etchings and 'sharendipity'.

Same thing I am saying.
With respect to what CBN comm'd, that it can't be traced, that it is virtual money.
The only layer of anonymity is, not knowing who owns a bitcoin address, once that is known, - no more anonymity.
There's a possibility of tracing, not an impossibility.

I'd have been roasted if I said this about Digital Marketing.
What most people do is run ads.
They cringe at Content Marketing.
They scoff at slow-burn SEO.
It's all about sales.
There isn't enough information to make buying decisions. You'd end up asking a friend (offline).
Saying that NIBSS belongs to the govt (without context) does not help people understand

I've always believed that the 80/20 rule is grossly misunderstood or misrepresented.
There's nothing like doing only 20% of the work to get 80% results as is often opined.
100% of the work (and more) is required.

We don't know how to argue.
All we do is shout at the top of our voices - because the loudest voice connotes 'victory'.
As a result, arguments are either seen as a do-or-die affair or as an aggressive personality trait.
By 6pm today we'll be running an Interview Practice session on the Testers for Hire Series.
Join us as we practice and refine our interview skills in the field of software testing.
I got a testimonial some weeks back from someone that newly got a Software Testing job while having zero background in tech.
Apparently, the tips I shared came in handy (in a practical way) for this person, and it was what stood them out from the rest of the park.
QA isn't an afterthought, it's a value-driven process designed to improve business outcomes.
The right QA process yields:
- Increased customer satisfaction
- More secure systems
- Improved reliability
Invest in quality assurance to see ROI.

Older generations are supposed to support the younger generation but it's usually not the case on a large scale.
It's the same way there was a long standing trope that 'millennials were ungrateful'.
While watching the latest Techstars Lagos pitches, a thought came to mind.
There should be a better way for testers/QAs to present themselves & the value they bring.
Testers/QA do more than 'quality'.
They are the living knowledge bases for how products work.
And more...
As a professional in technology, you need to get to the point where you are creating your own templates and frameworks to share for people to benefit from your experience.

LOL.
NIBSS has always had cross over bankers from the early ACH and NCS days.
A good number of her first employees were from banks.
You can't and should aim to learn everything in one year, because the Internet is full of learning resources.
There is a time to just do repetitive stuff and congeal your expertise, exposure and experience.

If you have not hacked it, you need LinkedIn profiles, updated CVs and online visibility.
Because if you have not hacked it, you will be denied.
If you have any tangible potential or expertise, it will be diminished.
You need progressive opportunities, to hack 'it'.
@A_Feranmi
The truth is a lot of fintech startups/companies focus on giving out money (I don't know where this idea comes from).
Also, the re-definition of active users is a potential war zone for product, engineering & mgt - and will be seen as being a 'go-live' blocker.
From the replies here, it's a commonly held belief [in this part of the world] that devs aren't supposed to test (at least positive scenarios) before handing over to QA.
For me, it's a sign of inexperience, irresponsibility or plain negligence.
I have finally bitten the bullet.
I have decided to contribute to conversations about Software Quality - to dispel myths, & bring visibility to what we do (as testers/QAs) via
