Ivan Toney’s second loan spell with Scunthorpe United hugely kickstarted his career. He really struggled at Wigan, clearly lost confidence… some Scunny fans didn’t even want him back. But that 2018 loan was definitely where he started to blossom into the player he is today.

My understanding on the Scunthorpe United ownership situation: Scunthorpe United remains for sale & is valued at £6 million. Three parties have been in discussions, with ‘offers’ coming in being short of valuation. All parties would want a resolution before start of season.
