Coming late to this awful news. Ramón was truly one of the warmest, kindest people I've known—insatiably curious, irrepressibly friendly, unfailingly honest. In and outside of DSA, he was the model of a comrade, organizer, and friend. I and so many others will miss him deeply.

A lot of bad ideas here. No right to strike, picket, boycott; granting the state labor commissioner power to decide which union(s) represent app workers, with no access to NLRB elections; and, weirdest of all, a 10¢ surcharge on rides and deliveries in lieu of union dues.
