It's even better with 2x06 recontextualizing the sea-worm as the judgement of the Valar. I'm really glad that the writers were not afraid to really lean into Sauron's internal battle of seeking redemption and having a genuine chance at it (more than one if we are to be honest)

When discussing with people who had told me that the plot of FB makes no sense I keep discovering that they just haven't paid attention to the movie. They have missed essential plotlines and character arcs. Movies that don't spell out EVERYTHINF are clearly challenging to some.
