Why do I have to work 7 days a week as a tradesman just to be able to afford to farm? It’s odd that small farms can’t sustain themselves anymore. Just feels wrong.
My favourite girl Blondie just had a girl! She’s a puppy. Sadly I think it’s her last. She had some nerve issues and trouble walking in the last 3 days leading up to the calf. She’s also about 20.
Finally, my favourite time of year. First time cutting before July due to El Ninio. I can’t wait to feed the neighbourhood and cut the government out of it all.
If you’re anywhere near Severn On, area and can’t afford to eat and pay rent, go ahead and pay your rent. Hit me up and I will give you a schedule of when I kill. I kill once a month or so and will have grass fed beef for you.
Wow. I can believe the response to this tweet. Thanks!!! In all honestly just want to focus more on providing clean food, free from corporate interference and chemicals. In today’s financial world it’s impossible.

A bunch of Eastern European’s at a hospice celebrating the end of a life. Smiles, tears and shots. Even in death she’s laughing and drinking. Farmers are built a little different hahah.
@CTVNews
When I kill I put the correct calibre round it the animals head at a specific breed determined angle. Thus I disconnect the brain stem. My round is travelling fast than nerves react. No pain at all. Halal is a barbaric! It’s slitting a brutally restrained animal’s throat. No stun
I can’t even farm anymore without being dragged into this BS. What in gods name made you think this wasn’t going to backfire
@JohnDeere
? No one cares what consenting adults do. What does this have to do with farming and ranching? Maybe focus on building good tractors again?
I found out in early 2014 I was gonna be a father. I immediately stopped all my BS and did the only thing I could think of a bough a farm. Kinda forced the entire family to transition lol. I couldn’t think of another way to raise kid’s healthy and happy. I don’t regret it.
@wabbitwarrior
Concerning yes. More concerning to me is the same rule is applied to policing. They have a far higher interaction rat with the public lol.
Well they are dropping now. Had two more today alone. First time I’ve tried summer calving. They seem to drop them
fine and then hide away from the rest of the herd for a day or two. Is this normal? Also my favourite girl “sweet Caroline “ had her first calf today without issue
Mission accomplished. Fired up the old Renault. Mowed moms lawn. Had the first gin and tonic of the year. I’m lucky as shit to have her moved onto the farm.
Nate the destroyer in all his glory. He’s a giant puppy with us. With other animals and strangers (without me present), he WILL go at you. Considering keeping him around as a guardian. Thoughts? For reference I had a bunch of my friends and their kids over. He was really sweet.
This morning’s cow check took way longer than I expected. Caroline’s boy Ned hiding by the river in the sedge grass. 2 days old and already crossing the water.
Mamma and Gracey Loo Moo. Oh the irony of isolating them in my walk in meat cooler to get her to feed 😂🤣. Grace was being attacked by some other cows right after she was born. Yet another time having cows in the house. She was my first calf.
@ChowRabbit
I used to do organic garlic. I had 100s of thousands invested in it. I sold to the restaurants. When they got shut down in 2020 for “Covid” it destroyed me. So yes I do agree.
For me. This is peak living. No corporations involved. One min he’s quietly grazing, 2 hours later he’s providing meat for my family, and community. No fear, no pain. Thanks Terry moo.
Coming home to this makes it worth it. I used to love what I do for a living during the day. It seems people’s attitudes have shifted from being task oriented, to just bitching and blaming. The worse it gets the harder I work at withdrawing from it all together. Cows > people.
Last year I got 1 bale per acre on this field. This year 3.5. I’m dreading replanting it. I know the second I plow it up I’m picking rocks for a months.
@MothMoo
@Lead_Flinger
Find a hole and fill it. Our communities don’t only need able bodied workers. A simple run to town for parts during harvest can be make or break for us. We all have to have each other’s backs or our little farm communities fail. Quite a few city people have moved up.
So I picked this up for $150. I had to be pushed to even say yes. Then I got home and googled her. It’s a Remington model 1100 magnum. I had no clue what they were or what they were worth! Do I put a longer barrel on her and use for bird and skeet?
Time to build a barn. I bought a excavator and crane to build my house, now a saw mill to build a barn. I love the process as much as the results. Learning is a lot more fulfilling than just paying for it.
@weathernetwork
Why are my tax dollars funding this? No one cares what people do in their personal lives. Why should I have to pay a single penny for this while we have homeless veterans and a fentanyl epidemic?
I had to “run off” the first group of idiots this year. My American Frens will understand that terms bit better. A bunch of 20 somethings shaking my fence riling up the cows. Managed to piss off 10k lbs of steers, bulls, and cows. They tried to get into the pen…lucky.
Some days I wonder why I live out in the middle of nowhere and bust my ass from before sunrise till after sunset……Then every so often I reminded of exactly why I’m here……we’re not gonna make it 😂🤣😂
Started at 4 am. Just finished now, I’ll do it all again tomorrow. These idiots and more importantly my community is worth it. A quick beer and some crickets then off to bed.
