This is mostly for my city friends. Planting soybeans into cornstalks. We ran cattle on these stalks all winter. They deposit manure and eat some of the fodder and corn if the combine missed it. That decaying crop is sequestering carbon! It keeps the soil healthy! Conserve🇺🇸

This baby got lost after a 3” rainstorm. Momma got milked so she’d be ok. The little Houdini, thought to be dead, made it. He lived the week in hiding and nursing, robbing, off a heifer. Found him! Remarkable is that momma instantly knows her baby! NEVER doubt a momma’s love!❤️

This is what we call “ out on stalks”. Cattle turned out on corn stalks after harvest. They eat the shucks and find an ear of corn or two if the combine misses anything. They regenerate that soil by depositing their manure in the field. This is “green”. This is sustainable!🇺🇸
