Everyone has said it, but I will too. The QRTs on this one are deeply troubling. Cinematography & lighting are ESSENTIAL aspects to filmmaking. Part of what defines the medium. This level of indifference and blandness on such an expensive scale is egregious but normalized.
There is no excuse. Movies deserve to look better than this and audiences would know better if they weren't force-fed this stuff. Nothing I've said is provocative or new in any sense. Generic opinion.

Can't remember the exact line but it def helps that at the club he tells Gabriel that him and "his God" will be found no matter where they hide
I love when people say Rian Johnson "doesn't understand" Star Wars as if Star Wars is some complex mathematical problem that only *some* people can understand.
Rian just interpreted Star Wars differently from you get over yourself

In any case, for a film of this range, I expect genuine dynamism and/or existential investment in the picture. Something the Raimi and Webb films did well in comparison. The perils of Spider-Man, if you will, don't register particularly well with the iCarly studio lighting.

Hmm. I don't feign to know all the tech of what I am criticizing here. I'm strictly working with theory and other contemporary/older films of a comparable/lesser budget. I say this all because, as far as my own viewing is concerned, I find it all very noticeable. 1/?

Agent Cooper entered the strange and wonderful town of Twin Peaks on this day in 1989. Here are some random shots from Lynch and Frost's terrifying and hilarious dream.

It certainly does like fine inasmuch as it looks like a properly generic low to mid budget film. Lighting that generically appreciates the actors and so on. Perhaps my friend
@ey2studios
can help out here because he has a more extensive eduction on this field.
If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.

Wandavison was good but hearing Wanda tell her children to "take care of the military" verbatim only for them to gently take away the soldiers' guns was so indicative of the MCU's inability to show the military as anything less than lawful neutral blockbuster investors
