The work you do today determines where you will be tomorrow. 💚💛 Layno woke up with the determination to do some exercises, and I couldn’t help but watch in admiration.

After the events in April, all I wanted was to spend my birthday with Layne outside of the hospital. I’m so lucky and blessed to say I got everything I asked for.

Its getting harder to leave Layno every time I visit! Planned on staying for 4 days which ended up being six. Taught him that he can say “I love you” by doing this 🤟🏻, and today when I left I got a wave and a 🤟🏻

We were blessed to be able to spend the day thanking some of the people who played a crucial role in saving Laynes life. ❤️

We are forever grateful. 💚💛

1/2 For now we have decided to keep Layne’s recovery out of the public eye but that does not mean his name needs to be forgotten. There are still two boys working very hard every day to get better to come home and do events such as the

Somedays I can’t remember what life was like before April 6th and other days it doesn’t feel real. Sending all of my love to the 28 other families involved and extra strength to the 16. I have so much love for you all 💚💛

Heartbreaking. Inspiring. Amazing. Emotional. Beautiful.
The Logan Boulet Effect is so amazing. Thank you Boulet family for sharing your story. Love you guys. 💚💛
Please read the link! This book was not supported by any of the 29 families. He was asked not to write it and did anyways. Thank you everyone for your continued love and support, but please don’t support him.

Against significant odds, former Humboldt Broncos player Layne Matechuk learned to walk and talk again.
Now he has his eyes set on returning to hockey. (

We practiced team building in Phys Ed. today... it is also green shirt day at school... so the kids were all in green yelling “we have the power of the Broncos” and “believe!” 💚💛 it was the best ❤️

All the love goes out to my husband for putting his whole heart into the work he did to build this rink. We hope to spark Logan's passion for hockey in all that come to play. Logan would have loved this. Hope to make you proud Logan, as you did for us every day. Missing you 💜

With the 5 year anniversary coming up I want to highlight the ways ptsd and grief have affected my life:
⁃I still haven’t been able to bring myself to the crash site
⁃I have not been back to the Elgar Petersen
⁃I have only been to 3 hockey games and struggle every time
Memory: 4 years ago at the Mac’s tournament. We loved going there, and spending our Christmas driving and our holidays at the rink. In 2017, we were excited about having a quiet Christmas together and didn’t realize how special that time would really be.
