I have the feeling we don't talk enough about Caleb Ferguson. The guy was first in the league in 2020 (min. 300 pitches) in pitches to get ahead in the count with 43.4% AND to get behind with 15.1%. ERA/FIP/xFIP/SIERA 2.89/3.57/2.33/2.24 And a ridiculous 32% K-BB%.

Pitching is unnatural and, at extreme velos, it’s extremely unnatural. As my friend @yosoyrorro said, just because in the past some exceptional guys like Ryan didn’t break, we forget the Fidrychs, Koufaxs and Saberhagens that did. We just probably reached the event horizon.

Never has a starting pitcher K'd 200 or more batters in 135 or less IP in a season; the closest was 2019 Chris Sale with 218 Ks in 147.1 IP. Spencer Strider is at 192 Ks in 125.2 IP at this moment.

That one is good, but there is another one I think is better: this is the list of players with at least 1,000 runs scored, 1,000 RBI, 1,000 walks, 250 home runs, 400 stolen bases, 500 doubles while batting no less than .290: Barry Bonds. Bob Abreu. That's it.

My daughter has lived out of Venezuela for more years than she lived there; she's now 16. After Maduro stole the elections, she cried in despair. She barely remembers our country and yet, it still hurts. I won't forget, and I pray God helps me to forgive as I don't think I can.

It's highly probable that St. Louis is relying on analitycs for this increase in its usage. Also, change "analitycs" with "information" and see how bad that first tweet of yours looks now.

The Yankees probably shouldn’t re-sign Juan Soto. It hamstrings their salary for the next 4-5 years on a roster that could use a bunch of minor pieces instead of one monster piece Unfortunately they literally don’t have a choice.

You are right, English is not my first language and, more times that I'd like to, mess things up when writing or speaking. Lucky for me, there are tons of nice people helping me improve. That doesn't preclude I try to say Jeter was a lousy defender, though (fancy word there!)
