Oklahoma State has a bye next weekend. One of OU or Texas will lose again. Gundy has to rally the troops and remind his guys of what is in front of them. The table is set like it has never been before for OSU. Time to eat, I say.
What’s equally impressive is that it was pretty much expected that Oklahoma State would just *get to the College World Series.* That’s the bar now.
That says a lot.
Build the stadium. Pay Kenny G.
What a way to end one of the best seasons in program history.
12 wins including wins over Oklahoma, Texas and Notre Dame.
Mike Gundy continues to raise the bar. This is a huge, huge win for the culture in Stillwater.
Everyone looks for something to blame after a loss… Bad calls, bad coaching, whatever. Fact is that Oklahoma State squandered five red zone opportunities. 17 plays inside Baylor’s 10. 1 touchdown.
That’s literally the game.
So much Bedlam pain. So many moments that didn’t go our way.
It might have been all worth it for that moment… are you kidding me? I’ll remember today for the rest of my life.
Go. Pokes. Forever.
Bedlam is OURS.
I don’t think Oklahoma State ever needs a football uniform redesign. This new template is quintessential Oklahoma State and it is perfect. Stay forever.
I’ve talked to a lot of OSU fans that still think of this job as a stepping stone job. A University that’s capable of paying $7.5M/yr. is unequivocally not a stepping stone job. That’s a massive number.
Post-Gundy, the line of candidates will be long.
Now go win the Big 12.
That was beyond cathartic. OSU Hoops was my first love and no matter what happens down the stretch,
@thacoachmike
brought this program back. I could cry, man.
It's early November in 2020, and this starting lineup takes the floor for

:
PG: Cade Cunningham (6'7)
SG: Bryce Thompson (6'5)
SF: Marcus Watson (6'6)
PF: Kalib Boone (6'9)
C: Yor Anei (6'10)
I need this to happen. You need this to happen. WE... need this to happen.
Oklahoma State just nabbed two instant-impact P5 transfers within four hours.
You could make a case that the skill talent on the roster today is as good or better than last season.
Pokes aren’t done, either.
All of that from the grave.
“If Texas runs the table…don’t they force a difficult conversation with the playoff committee?”

thinks Texas may be more back than we could’ve ever imagined.

Hard to not notice the about face from pretty much every blue check that covers college sports. “This sucks” now that the PAC 12 is being blown apart, while the Big 12 was the butt of their jokes two years ago.
I do not feel bad for anybody other than Oregon State and Wazzu.
Oklahoma State cleaning up in the transfer portal. About to go 3/3 this weekend with three instant impact players on the offensive line. Big time stuff.
That is nothing less than a culture win. NO reason to come out and win that, but Spencer pulled a Stone Cold Steve Austin and saved the day.
Incredible.
Cade Cunningham is accomplishing a personal goal and catapulting an entire program into national relevance in the process.
Oklahoma State hoops is back.
Oklahoma State RB and Doak Walker winner Ollie Gordon's 'phone was blowing up' with transfer portal interest.
But he says he 'overlooked it and didn't pay attention.'
The Pokes have an *actual* unicorn playing for them this season:
RSV is no joke, friends. Just left Children’s at OU after my youngest took an ambulance ride and spent a couple days in the hospital… we’re beyond thankful for her regained health and an incredible emergency nursing/physician staff at OU. Scary days but she was in great hands.
Good ‘N Plenty pod with Oklahoma State’s Mike Boynton:
1:05 The postseason ban is “a bridge too far”
8:41 Why no appeal?
15:41 Fears of recruits getting poached from OSU
35:23 Black head coaches in NCAA basketball
He's right, because... newsflash, Texas has pretty much stunk for a full decade. In that time, Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, Kansas State, and West Virginia have all reached the top 10 (plus OU and Texas)! That's 70% of the conference!!!
TCU's Gary Patterson: "It really bothers me that we’ve based everything that whether our league is good or bad or not on whether Oklahoma and Texas are good. To be honest with you, we have a lot of good football teams and we always have had a lot of good football teams."
Was I still feeling sensitive a week after referees made two bad roughing the passer calls on USC at Utah? Maybe. But Texas' 14 flags to OK State's 0 was too much to ignore.
Ref bias against the Pac-12 and Big 12 departed is very real. Column

The manner in which Oklahoma State has won big games via blowout and lost big games via blowout has made this one of the most confusing seasons in memory.
Yet, they still have the inside track to Arlington. Zero margin for error now.
Oklahoma State could be one of the top defensive teams in the country next season. ELITE rim protection and two of the best on ball defenders in the conference in Avery Anderson and Rondel Walker.
Just a friendly reminder that the University of North Carolina enrolled athletes (mainly basketball) in fake classes to keep them eligible. The NCAA knew.
The punishment?
*Nothing*
Two weeks in a row that I embarrassingly tweeted the eulogy this team online in the first half. If that’s what it takes, I’ll look to do the same next weekend in the quest for a Big 12 title.
WHAT A SEASON!
44 points in 18 minutes. Beat the brakes off OU in the second half. That’s a culture win. Huge opportunity in GIA against

Iowa State on Saturday.

Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders on Oklahoma rivalry, Bedlam Series:
"If they want to go to the SEC, go ahead and go to the SEC. That's your plan. We're still gonna prepare to win every Big 12 championship every year and try and get in the final four."
One of the best wins in the Boynton era, and I’ve said that twice in the last two weeks. Dominating your rival in a must-have game in their building… that’s guts. Kalib Boone was magnificent, and the guards were outstanding in the attack. OU never had an answer.
Brent Venables addressing the crowd before today’s spring game.
“For the naysayers who say spring game attendance doesn’t matter, they have a program that doesn’t.”
