imo open source image models are still superior to DALL-E 3 etc. In terms of quality, they are real close. In terms of cost, 4 cents vs 0.27 cents is just too hard to ignore. All this thanks to the crazy optimizations we have done on @fal_ai_data to get it under 2.50 seconds.

This post didnt age well.... We just went down from 2.5s to 0.6s with Latent Consistency Models to generate a 1024x1024 image. So now it costs 0.06 cents. You didnt read that wrong, its 6% of a cent. Play with it here:

imo open source image models are still superior to DALL-E 3 etc. In terms of quality, they are real close. In terms of cost, 4 cents vs 0.27 cents is just too hard to ignore. All this thanks to the crazy optimizations we have done on @fal_ai_data to get it under 2.50 seconds.
