In the wake of what my girls and I witnessed happen to Eriksen, I will be putting all profits for Carpet Cleans until the end of the year into a pot and using the money to buy Defibrillators at Xmas and donating them to clubs who need them . Keep an eye out for how to nominate.

One year ago tonight I was driving home from work . My airbag malfunctioned and hit me so hard in the face it broke my cheekbone , ripped off my cornea and put my left eye into my brain. 3 Surgeons took 7 hours in theatre to save it. Long complex road ahead , but I’m not a pirate

Last Xmas , you may remember my girls and I ran a soup kitchen from the shop . This year , on Christmas Day I’m cooking Xmas dinner for 20 people who would otherwise be alone. This will be served at the shop! Our Customers will be given first refusal . #bekind

As you will all know , it’s not looking like I’ll be able to work physically within my business again for a long time. So while in hospital I did a lot of research etc . I’m proud to say I’ve been accepted and just picked my first modules for an honours degree in Psychology.

I need to be honest. 2weeks ago I had wee brain haemorrhage behind my eye . It’s happened before . A few cancerous looking cells have been found . So we are looking into to sorting them . Keep the banter going !! Love ya Twitter !!! 💙

Had my new lens fitted 10 mins ago and I can honestly say I’ve never been more relieved in my life . Thank you all for your support . A second lens can now be ordered . There’s no price on seeing your children’s faces .

Sadly today I was told the nerve is damaged and there will be no recoverable sight . The pressure is still dangerously high so I’ll be admitted for surgery next week to have a drain fitted so I don’t lose my eye. I’m not willing to give up. I’ll prove them wrong.

Been a long day but finally had some good news at Ninewells , the drain is working !! So I’m off all the drops now (except the steroids for the transplant ). Still need weekly checks until the pressure stabilises , but for the first time since April , it’s looking good💙

Surgeons just been in, all went to plan. He has managed to reconstruct my pupil ( as was constantly dilated ) so should help massively with the pain! I’ll have a …. Tea! 🤣🤣

My middle daughter can sit on her hair . But on Saturday ( her birthday ) she’s having it all cut off and donating it to the little Princess trust , who make real hair wigs for children with cancer .💙💙

2 years ago I stood at my grans funeral and vowed to change my life . It’s been a horrific 24months. I can absolutely see why people stay in miserable relationships as it’s easier . But today marked the end of all that , finally !! Can’t wait to start our new chapter ❤️💙

No sign of infection and current graft is stable! Transplant booked for May! So yes , eyesight for my 40th ! 💃🏻💃🏻 Back to work .

So I’ll have no recoverable sight in my left eye after serious surgical complications. My right eye has a progressive eye disease in it and has approx 12 months sight left. It’s very hard to digest. I’m trying . 1/2

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone of you who has supported me . I finally qualified for the specialist lens on the NHS today after 3 years of arguing my case! 💃🏻 So a new and improved “hybrid” version is on the way .

What a night ! Poor Elsie ended up getting blue lighted to Ninewells as was struggling for breath . She’s had Nebulisers and given inhalers for a viral infection. Just waiting to be discharged . I’m shattered but she’s much brighter . Thank god.

I just wanted to post that I’ve had a really positive week . Nothing special but I was able to work hard ,be a mum ,chat to my pals , get to Dens , attend appointments and just generally be ok . Seems like nothing but the simple things are huge and I’m so thankful x
