What a wild ride this spring was! Less than 15 days at home between the start of the college season and the draft. Felt like you were always tired, but always excited every single day. 10,000 miles a month, 6 hotel nights per week, and 5 diet sodas per day! Summer, bring it on!

We are all dealt similar cards in situations like this. Some will complain and criticize others, and some will be proactive, come up with solutions, and make the most of the situation. The best part is that you get to choose which of those realities you want to pursue.

Assuming the worst happens, this is a sad day for baseball. All other sports are looking to broaden opportunity and grow the sport. Only baseball is looking for ways to cut corners and shrink. This will inevitably lead to the sport regressing. Nothing short of embarrassing.

Got some really good advice a couple years ago. If you want to make it in this world, you have to do the work others don’t want to do, go places they wont go, and work more hours than they would ever want to. Not always easy, fun, or luxurious, but definitely worth it.

My favorite pitcher growing up, and favorite to this day, was Pedro Martinez. That dude was stupid back in the day. Punched out like 300 dudes and threw 13 CGs in a SEASON. Punched out 10per 9 and had a 1.05 whip for a CAREER. Like are you serious? He was playing a different game

Parents, All college bound athletes are juggling practices/games/school/college boards. “Not having time to train” is based on priorities, not lack of time. I’d rather they state “I currently don’t want to prioritize my development”. That should spark some deep conversations.
