Ukr voices cannot be dismissed on the premise that they are biased. Democratic institutions have many formal rules to accommodate people with different opinions. It is 100% possible to include non-neutral voices. Especially if they have expertise which others don't 15/15

From March 25 to Feb 25, our team of 6 people @KyivSchool participated in 72 events talking about Ukraine and Russia's invasion (economy, security, society). Lectures, round tables, panels, seminars. 70 in English, 1 in 🇪🇸, 1 in 🇩🇪 . 2-4 per day, while working on other tasks

Everytime I hear explosions in Kyiv and feel scared, I am thinking about these two guys, my friends and colleagues who are actually at the front lines now. Both worked at @KSE_Institute , both studied data science in the UK and came back to Ukraine.

Hello from Kyiv and a happy holiday . I took the first photo last year in Berdychiv. The second one, today at @kse_ua . We had yet another attack by drones on our city this morning, still the celebration mood is in the air.

Our study shows that admin. reforms increased social trust and trust to local governments in Ukraine. The paper is out in the Journal of Comparative Economics, SI on Ukraine in the context of the ongoing war. A tread about our findings:

The Kyiv School of Economics is no longer just a school of economics. During the war, we have grown into a university The photo shows about half of the new faculty. Raised hands - about 80% - are mathematicians, IT specialists, psychologists, sociologists, historians

RR amidst the war is weird. Reviewer #2 does not sound so tough any more.

This weekend I spent a few hours coding in R, basic tidyverse, basic regressions, nothing special. Was pretty cool, but felt like something from another alternative reality. Doing research with air syrens is weird :/

My other former student was KIA by #RussianArmy . Roman Yanyshev. He was a leader of students’ government at @KarazinUniver , engaging in the artistic life of the Uni. He was skipping some lectures due to that and sometimes I was too strict abt this. I am so sorry now, Roman! RIP

As @jasonintrator said , imperialists, colonialists, and fascists attacks are always on intellectual life as well. Our lectures of solidarity show that the Ukrainian academia is resilient as other institutions. Thanks to prof Stanley for his talk and fascinating QA!
