90% of players don’t need to go travel the country all summer to play. Spending two weeks in GA does nothing if you’re not a D1 prospect yet. Players need to DEVELOP & play games but can do so in a competitive local & regional schedule. Save money now, travel when you’re ready.

Our 15U Thorney squad finishes the season 19-5-1. Four of those loses within 1-run & outscoring opponents 139:55. Once we learn to use our competitiveness more as well as improve on some things individually & as a group, going to be even tougher to compete with in the future.

Stay to play for events is garbage. Reserved a block at a nice hotel that said open for $130. Event emails me back saying, “We can’t but here is this $200/night one, want me to set it up?”. Look up on property site and it’s $50 less/night. Let’s play local & stop feeding this BS.

Be careful of EV tests. Not hitting it 100mph or climbing the latter daily doesn’t mean you aren’t developing as a “hitter”. Driving 120mph would be fun unless you can’t stay on the road. Higher EVs simply mean you have potential to hit the ball harder. Some ?’s to ask yourself.

I’ve known Tanner since he lived in MN. Has always been straight up ballplayer & smasher of baseballs. It’s been fun to watch him develop & be a mentor to some these young guys around him this year. I think they will benefit from the experience. I wish you the best.

Although we never reached our end goal as a team, this year was one for the books. So many good things to say about this team and this program. The coaching staff was one of the best I’ve ever had, poured there hearts into this team trying to make them championship caliber.
