The Sunnī Tradition of Islam has a history of mystical and philosophical works as well. Before the Wahabi takeover, Turkish, Persian and Indian scholars engaged in Islamic Philosophy (Falsafa) along with a very philosophical form of Kalām. This heritage has been forgotten.
