The reason the culture war is a forever war is because elite aggressors have big egos that require stoking via issue-symbols to differentiate selves from masses. (Like Modern Art.) In 2013 @Steve_Sailer used this theory to predict transgender war to replace gay-marriage victory.

I know old news but $TRIL's TTI-622 DLBCL data is remarkable. Their monotherapy ORR (3/11) is comparable to what $ALXO and FTSV achieved w/ rituxin. TRIL got a durable CR at 0.8 mg/kg, lowest dose. ALXO no CRs in 17 chances. FTSV had 9/59 CRs.

$AFMD at highest dose 100% ORR 42% CR vs. 67%/28% for $ADCT in R/R HL. And this is after one treatment cycle. The CR rate should go higher upon re-dosing. AFMD much less toxic than ADCT, too.

What do you believe about biotech investing that no one else does? I’ll go first: One could generate alpha *strictly* by doing diligence on who-to-copy rather than on companies. Ego is why this isn’t fully arbitraged. Investors pursue profits AND ego-fluffs.

"Bottom-is-in" contest. 1) Tell me ticker (preferably a risky biotech) & current price. 2) You lose if stock drops 5% from current price. 3) You win either by lasting the longest or if price rises so much you're obviously gonna win. Might be fun because many will lose fast.

I think $AFMD's new CD123 engager for AML is great idea. 1) Unengineered NK do ~30% CR rate in AML. 2) CD123 validated, including by T-cell engagers. 3) I prefer targeting a tumor-associated-antigen than enhancing NK stress receptors like $NKTX does.

$REPL gotta be only immune onc trial ever where a common bear case is they’re gonna triple the CR rate. <$1b cap. 500 million EV. A team, the only one, that’s done it before. A platform that’s obviously highly useful in skin cancer. The craziest opportunity this bear market has

My pick is $AFMD @ $1.00. -I think stupid technicals work a bit in micros & so all else equal 1.00 is a bit more likely to be where the base is built than 1.10 or 0.90. -& AFM13 is a pillar of value that's clearly undervalued -& we near IND acceptance for pivotal HL/PTCL trial

$GMDA treated 19 NHL pts w/ NK cells + ritux. 13 CRs, 11 still going, most beyond 6 mo's, 6 over a year. Levers NOT pulled: Multiple doses early on to compensate for NK persistence. No genetic engineering. No CD19 targeting to prevent antigen escape.

If you're new to $CRIS I'd suggest studying both $XFOR (for perspective on Waldenstrom) and $KYMR (for excellent IRAK4 primer). Excerpt from KYMR below:

My favorite COVID program is $FGEN pamrev in post-COVID lung fibrosis because: a) it should work b) in less crowded need than anti-viral/vaccines/anti-inflammatories c) & speed path to market/appreciation of undervalued drug d) FGEN has nice margin of safety so you can bet big.

I'm long $YMTX, platform is legit and nice orthogonal compliment to progress by others on theory/genetic-derived neuro targets, lead target SCD1 looks promising from multiple angles, including independent work done by Biogen, but the way they've handled comms this year is absurd.

$YMTX CEO on 6/3: Expect ph1b data mid-2021. "Very soon." YMTX CEO 6/16: Because of COVID site delays, we have enrolled only 2/3s of the study. Data in the Fall. I'm rarely confident enough in my interpretations to be annoyed by bio mgmt but this one was ridiculous.

Neighbors cutting down some beautiful gigantic pines on the border between our yards, my boys sprinting btwn rooms to get better view, plotting future careers in logging, while I have new empathy for crazy crying hippie ladies who obstructively strap their bodies to trees.

@vonderleyen If it weren’t common knowledge how estranged from traditional European values EU leaders are, this would be interpreted as racism. But even you know.

@RnaudBertrand What a headline. Imagine the unimaginable: Russia doesn’t lose a war of attrition; & DC fails to achieve its military objectives, gets its friends obliterated, yet again slanders people who just want peace who’ve been accurately forecasting the end results of all these

$VYGR is an example where extraordinary preclinical data was totally ignored by investors but ultimately not by Pfizer, Novartis, Neurocrine, & Al Sandrock. What are other, preferably recent/ongoing, examples of extraordinary/neglected preclinical events?

Ukraine good. Russia bad. I'm with you so far. But skip the part about America's foreign policy establishment as a model of restraint, wisdom, law-abiding, respect, etc. In last 30 years on world stage, US v Russia, US has been the reckless/wrong/bad-faith party numerous times.

I haven't yet listening to the $YMTX call from yesterday. Did they explain why data was delayed from mid-2021 to fall?

What does $AFMD need to show w/ AFM13 + NK in R/R HL? I assume it'll be too early to assess durability. ORR for competitive approaches is high at 70-75%. So it'll be about CRs. 20% CR would be OK. >40% would be ideal, for the program, and the concept.
