New from me: As the family of 14-year-old Nya Jingles work with OC Sheriff officials to find her, some question why the department initially labeled her as just a 'runaway' when her family says the danger to Nya - who has autism and lives with disability - goes far beyond that.

When residents learned OC was about to sell public Newport Back Bay park land to wealthy GOP donor Buck Johns for just $13,000, the public stopped the sale thru civic action. But now county officials are backing away from reclaiming the land. New from me:
