Astonishingly, @WeAreTheMU voted to prevent Jeremy Corbyn from being considered for reselection as Labour candidate for Islington North. Now it requests support against the BBC’s onslaught on its orchestras. Fortunately, solidarity is not transactional. It should reflect on that.

So it has been confirmed that, if all eligible take up pension credit, any 'savings' from £1.5 billion taken from pensioners will be lost. Yet the government says it wants 100% take-up of pension credit. So this will 'save' nothing yet cost many. Truly a parable of means-testing.

The Arts Council (sorry, ‘Arts Council England’, since articles are verboten in its dated, joyless realm) founds its sub-Maoist attack on opera in opera houses on a fall in audiences between 2017 and 2020. I can’t imagine what might have led to a decrease in audiences in 2020.

Reminder that the UK leaving the EU (at least the Single Market and Customs Union) was fundamentally incompatible with the Good Friday Agreement. This was clear in 2016 and many of us said so. Anyone supporting ‘Brexit’ since has been knowingly working against peace in Ireland.
