everyday it’s “black people aren’t a monolith” until the person in question doesn’t adhere to what’s trendy in the community. but also the disgusting descriptions of bw who CHOOSE to wear lashes, wigs, etc under this post is just as gross. black women truly can’t win with y’all.

nobody talks about how hard it is to choose a hairstyle for your black girl mc of a fantasy novel. do i give her faux locs? real locs?? goddess braids??? a middle part-buss down???? and it definitely matters bc it changes the dynamics of battle scenes. 😩
