Like Bradley and Klinsmann I didn’t think Berhalter cleared the bar for getting a 2nd term. Like them the clear tipping point for firing a mgr is seeing a team play flat, give up, and not respond to adversity. When that starts to happen consistently that’s when a mgr has to go.

Lletget put 2 balls on teammate’s heads in the 6, setup Gioacchini for his first close miss and had a 4th key pass. His 69/69 passing (nice) was often driving tempo in our attack. He’s our 4th most productive attacker, from CM! So yeah, I think that’s good enough to keep going.

In my opinion what we saw today are normal performances from Acosta and Lletget, a bunch of sideways passing, lack of creativity and lack of ball retention at times. So if u think that these players should continue to play those positions u are okay with how the USMNT played

Most dramatic US match I’ve been to. Very poor start. McKennie and Brooks kept the team alive enough to claw its way back in. Adams addition raised the others’ games. Gio is filling an attacking star role. Pulisic needed this type of moment and hopefully it pays off. Horvath!!!

Hot take, 3 injuries to the USMNT’s 3 most influential attackers completely changed the cycle: Pulisic’s hamstring in the FA Cup Final, Gio’s hamstring in the first WCQ window, and Jordan Morris’s ACL for Swansea. Just those injuries alone were worth about half a goal a game.

Here’s the XI I would start against Colombia along with a few in possession looks I would consider using. The key tests are: 1. Can Weah hold down RB? 2. Can Malik step up? 3. Can Haji play LW at this level in this team context? 4. Is Scally useful cover at LB? 5. Can CCV hang?
