J Dilla fans claiming he’d never work with a rapper like Glorilla clearly never listened to any J Dilla besides his beats.
That man is from the city of Detroit.
I don’t know bro so I don’t want to be analytical but Yachty not liking the “live sound” of Just Blaze’s beats while making an album influenced by psychedelic rock music sure does align with him thinking people from SoHo dress better than people from the Bronx.
Maryland IS the Upper South.
You ever been to Cecil County?
That’s north of Baltimore.
Anyone who doesn’t think Maryland is the South take a trip up there and report back to me.
The leader of the street gang the Crips, Stanley Williams lived an extreme double life — during the day, he was an anti-gang youth counselor, and at night he was the boss of the Crips, committing violent gang crimes against a rival gang, the Bloods.
So during his normal life
This isn’t just the end of his association with Karrahbooo but Concrete Boys period.
If I’m in the crew and hear you crashing out and telling other people you wrote for the artist that left- why wouldn’t people think the same about me?
You already told the world you dress me.
It seems like hip-hop, rap, and black music in general is one of those topics where a music journalist needs absolutely no qualifications to write or speak on it at all.
Nobody talks about this, but you can do MAGNIFICENT things when you’re angry.
The problem is that people use that anger to harm others instead of fulfill their lives.
Y’all need to say what y’all really mean when y’all say Japanese jazz is better than American Jazz and that Japanese hip-hop is better than American hip-hop.
A lot of Baltimoreans’ families come from the Carolinas, but black people that are truly native to Baltimore unknowingly have distant relatives in New Orleans due to Slavemaster McDonough.
It’s time to reevaluate how much we’ve let capitalism skew our perception of "relevance" in rap. My latest for

:
Stop Letting Numbers Decide Rap Relevance
God will punish you. Mark my words.
The man that has not only pushed his pen the hardest, but gave the game more than 1 hip hop ICON as well on his watch? Represent the RAP game?!?!! The best RAPPER don’t represent the RAP GAME well enough 4u? Black ppl. Wow. If this don’t hurt
If prosecuting Diddy is “tearing the black man down” then what do you call what he did to all those black men that ended up homeless, bankrupt, on drugs, and in sex cults?

Islam & hip-hop have always been aligned. Historically, there was a poetry culture among Arabs where poets would battle each other. The Quran refers to these poets in many places with a whole Surah named Ash-Shu‘ara or The Poets

Summer Walker is open about her Oshun worship. Be careful what you’re listen to, a lot of your favorite artist worship Idols “Demons”. This is the same reason why our people are in the condition we’re in now. Our people must repent before it’s too late.
Sean Marks calls Kyrie Irving’s apology “a step.” The star will still have to meet with the

and with a group of Jewish leaders in order to bring reinstated.

I won’t say his name, but this is what the dude looks like.
He runs an outdated rave in Baltimore called Dark Room that only books old german DJs catering to crash dummy cokeheads.
Because I like to clarify:
Tookie was given the death penalty *before* Arnold Schwarzenegger became the governor of California.
However, while he was governor, Arnold had the option of giving Tookie clemency from death.
He chose to have the execution go on.
Let me tell you a secret about the pain of being misunderstood.
It’s not even the fact that you’re misunderstood.
That is fine.
It’s when the person you’re talking to comes to the conclusion that they know better than you or what’s best for you.
No jazz artist from Japan is touching the Coltranes, Sun Ra, and Pharaoh Sanders.
No beatsmith from Japanese is touching RZA, J Dilla, Pimp C, DJ Quik, etc.
Just to name a few.
Please be for real.
Malcolm X said he gained his education by reading books while incarcerated.
Reading books will definitely help them become people who wouldn’t need to depend on somebody like him and probably knows that.

Nah bro it’s like the Cosby Show because we know it’s Bill Cosby but the character is Cliff Huxtable.
Both Philly niggas producing a show set in a location they’re not from

Im not asking them anything because nothing you wrote has anything to do with anything I wrote.
However, it IS cool that you met him in passing and I mean that.
But if I came to the conclusion that they WANT people to sing about cheating and killing each other and getting addicted to drugs, I’d be called a what?!
When I was doing R&B, a label exec told my producer “Ahmaad is good but he sings too much about love. If he woulda came out in the early 2000s we woulda been interested”. I swear to God
@KristyT
I never said that. I never even spoke to the woman who originally posted it. I sent her a cease and desist, but welp. I love my wife, but I don't talk like that about groups of people.
I’m very solution oriented, so when you see me upset in real life, it most likely stems from an obstacle I don’t have the tools to overcome at that moment.
It’s kinda shocking that people walk around wallowing in problems…that can be solved if they got around to it.
More meeting of the minds amongst creatives from Baltimore, DC, MD, and VA so we can figure out how we can all be good off this music and media shit.
But more vetting processes because there are still people in these respective communities who bring nothing to the table.
A lot of people in this community are around you to pretend like they care about the advancement of music and culture when in actuality, they are here to take from you, waste your time, cause division in your circle, and spy on you.
I missed the meeting when we decided we were okay with white people deciding who amongst our ancestors amongst the diaspora were good and bad people. A lot of people should be ashamed of themselves for taking her tweets as fact.
