Raising a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster to Douglas Adams on his birthday. I loved the BBC TV series ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ It was very much a part of my childhood.
The Tomorrow People was a great 1970’s TV series. It was about a group of children and young adults born with powers. They strive to protect earth from earth bound and alien menaces, whilst keeping their own existence a secret.
Raising a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster to Douglas Adams who passed away 11th May 2001. I loved the BBC TV series ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ It was very much a part of my childhood. He also wrote Shada and City of Death 😀
I always loved Patrick Troughton as the Doctor. He was magical and embraced everything about the programme. I feel that he made Doctor Who what it is today. He gave something of himself and that has evolved across other incarnations. I love his characterisation and sense of fun.
I saw Jon Pertwee in The Ultimate Adventure at The Manchester Opera House and I think it was the most exciting thing I ever saw. To experience seeing him play the Doctor live on stage, left me in complete awe. I will never forget it.
22/05/89 - 27/05/89 Manchester Opera House.
5th January 1981 - The first episode of the BBC TV series ‘ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was broadcast.
I loved the Vogons destroying Earth for an intergalactic highway construction project -a hyperspace express route. They’re also the worst poets in the Universe.
The Seeds of Doom is one of my favourite Fourth Doctor Stories for so many reasons. It’s beautiful, clever and in parts it’s incredibly uncomfortable and disturbing. I feel it drew so much from The Quatermass Experiment. It’s a great story showing the Krynoid growing in strength
I have been watching Doctor Who for around 45 years of my nearly 47 year old life. I don’t think I will ever tire of it. It’s a programme that gives us hope and brings us together. I will always enjoy adventuring and travelling on through the universe with the Doctor.

I really think that ‘The Sea Devils’ is such a great story.
The Master (Roger Delgado) makes contact with the Sea Devils, and plots to use them to reconquer the Earth from humanity. There are even Clangers 😀
Love this photo

I was just watching Richard Ayoade presenting the BAFTAS and he just welcomed the new Doctor as Ncuti Gatwa. The cameras panned over to focus on him and he beamed so much. What a great moment and he was so surprised.
Remembering the BBC Radiophonic Workshop electronic music pioneer, Delia Derbyshire on her Birthday. Thanks to her for all her brilliant work, and for her electronic arrangement of the theme music to Doctor Who.
It’s 39 years ago today since the 1st issue of Doctor Who Magazine. I can remember buying issue 1 in 1979 and being really excited at the thought of reading it. I was nearly 8 years old.
Happy Birthday

I travelled in the TARDIS and made my own adventures when I was little. In my imagination, I created wonderful stories that played as if they were full TV episodes. Maybe that adventure is still continuing and I don’t believe I will ever grow up, but who really wants to anyway 😀
I have loved Doctor Who from a very young age. I am posting this photo again, as I am still over the moon that ‘The Official Doctor Who Figurine Collection’ used it in issue 59 of their magazine. Thanks again
