1. It allows for a different and fresh take on the character. 2. It allows him to grow into either a more mature version of himself, or the Wheeljack we’re more familiar with. To sum it up, this take on Wheeljack allows the flexibility to do different things with the character.

So what about Battletrap and Nightbird? Well they were present for Scourge’s arrival, but instead of attacking him they would pledge loyalty instead of ending up like their fellow soldiers. Which would explain why Battletrap still has a decepticon insignia on his head

So I just finished watching #RiseOfTheBeasts and let me tell you it’s one of the most character driven TF films out there. The story really makes you care for the characters, from Elena and Noah to Optimus and his relationship with the other autobots. (1/3)

So we know that Scourge is a herald of Unicron, but he isn’t from this timeline. He, like the Maximals, are from the future. When the Maximals went back in time, Scourge followed to ensure they don’t interfere with the future.

Optimus not knowing what’s happening, took the chance and escaped. The decepticons however, attacked Scourge and that would explain the decepticon logos on his grill. Remaining autobots would do the same, so that’s also why he has autobot logos.

I see that the Bumblebee movie is trending, so while everyone loves the opening scene, this scene is what made the film amazing. The idea that an alien robot can learn from a human, is what makes the transformers great.
