Yesterday, a Cuban pilot defected to Florida (🇺🇸) in an Antonov AN-2 aircraft.
The 29-year-old pilot took off from Sancti Spíritus,

OTD in 1974, the F-16 (unintentionally) flew for the first time.
During the first high-speed taxi test, a lateral oscillation developed as the jet reached rotation speed. The pilot chose to take off to prevent plowing through the desert and safely landed after a 6-minute flight.

According to Wall Street Journal, USAF (🇺🇸) A-10 Warthogs in the Middle East are flying with GBU-39Bs for the first time ''in the latest move to deter Iran.''
Just recently, the aircraft's new software enabled the A-10s to carry 16 GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs.

Two Missile Defense Agency jets appear to be returning after orbiting southeast of Florida.
Hazard zones indicate that there is (or maybe was?) a missile test planned for today and photos from SLC-46 show what appears to be an LRHW hypersonic missile launcher.
