I know it's been posted before but couldn't resist repeating after walking past it yesterday. I'm sure she's a lovely girl really, who loves puppies and kittens and does charity work in home town of Birkenhead.

Beer stash No. 4 is a pint bottle of Thomas Hardy's Ale 1968. "Do not drink before July 1969" so I didn't. 52 years old, poured flat but still excellent. Powerful barley wine with woody notes. This vintage was aged in wooden barrels. A credit to the brewer.

@LiamThorpECHO A total lack of concern for ordinary people shown by the leadership candidates. They are trying to appeal to in particular the most smug and selfish section of the electorate, the Tory members. It also plays well with their Daily Mail reading supporters.

Beer stash No. 37. Royal Thomas Hardy's Ale 1983. This have always been my favourite vintage of this beer and it certainly lives up to the hype that surrounds Hardy's Ale. Some condition remains, sweet, slightly woody, warming. The epitome of a barley wine. 10/10.
