Well I had little to no expectations of #TheKing because period/war is not my genre but I was hugely surprised and @RealChalamet did an incredible job. A couple of moments out of the accent but other than that a really powerful performance, one of his best.

During the #WomenTalking press conference Sarah Polley said she believes the experience of making a film needs to be more important than the final product, & that hit me right in the heart. More directors need this mentality. Take care of the artists and the art will follow suit.

I absolutely loved Saltburn. A repulsive, dirty, twisted reflection on class, so immaculately captured by the ever wonderful Linus Sandgren. The way he frames things with Fennell’s direction is pure perfection. It felt cathartic. I was completely captivated the whole time. #LFF

There has not been and will not be a better film this year than Mike Mills’s C’mon C’mon. I spent 80% of the film crying, 10% laughing and the other 10% laughing & crying. Mills is the textbook for empathetic and compassionate cinema. I want to live inside of this world forever.

WELL… #AIRMovie really caters to many of my film love languages. Underdog stories, a stacked cast at the top of their games, a fun aesthetic and a beautiful balance of comedy and drama. This worked for me on every level. I loved it! Go see it ASAP.

Overheard at an FYC screening yesterday was that only 8 people had shown up the day prior to watch She Said & can I just say if you're in a voting body, please show up for this film. It's really telling that people (men) have a lot to say about this one and don't want to support.
