Enjoying the internal medicine grind so far - giving me a brief insight into how many hours the resident schedule actually is compared to that of a medical student. And I haven’t even been in an OR for weeks!
What is the optimal amount of hours of sleep for a surgeon? I find that 5.5/6 gives me a full recharge, but maybe that’s the Stockholm Syndrome setting in!
That’s a wrap on the pediatrics shelf, and with it, the clerkship. Looking forward to recovering this weekend (or not) and jumping head first into surgery starting on Monday!
