Bang on, it was a terrible debate format. Even if it lasts for 3 hours let them discuss the key issues facing our country freely and openly. A moderator is there to prompt debate not dictate it.

The historic inflection point is here. As I have been predicting for months on my Substack, Reform look poised to become the dominant right-wing party in UK politics.
UK universities are on the brink of financial ruin
This A-level results day, universities will be chasing the students, not students scrambling for places.
Long term, the university sector must adapt, abolishing tuition fees and moving some courses online

🚨 EXCL: Our interview with Nigel Farage
- Reform will get "millions of votes"
- What happened with Trump in America "stinks"
- The Tories have "misguided" young people by encouraging them to go to university
- Labour is playing "safe"
- The Tories are being "bombed"
Why the UK needs Clear rules for Referendums
1. Brexit set a dangerous precedent
2. Parliament disagreed on the outcome
3. Political turmoil resulted
Here's why the UK should make referendums obligatory for constitutional issues, after Parliament's approval
🚨 NEW: The 2024 Conservative manifesto in full
Immigration:
- Work with other countries to rewrite asylum treaties
- A regular rhythm of flights to Rwanda every month to remove illegal migrants
- Prioritise national security over ECHR membership
- Stop illegal migrants
@RachelReevesMP
This smacks of 'I'm gonna make everything better, but I won't tell you how'. Vague and uninspiring, no wonder the Tories have managed to stay in power for 14 years.
The greatest Tory paradox of all:
- appearing tough on immigration
- yet presiding over the system's disintegration
- taking us out of the EU, to 'fix' that situation
- only for things to get even worse
A continual cycle of unmatched promises, incompetence and inaction.
🚨 NEW: A former MI6 boss says that defence spending should be urgently increased to 3% of GDP, not just 2.5% as Labour and the Tories have pledged

Britons have just 6 weeks to decide which party to support.
Lots of right-wing voters face a tough dilemma, as they are unwilling to vote for the Tories after the last 14 years of incompetent governance.
Reform UK is an effective protest vote, but nothing else.
What more do they want him to do? Bomb Jerusalem? Send in the army to fight with Hamas? Bring everyone in Gaza on ships to the UK? Moronic virtue signalling to the extreme!
Rishi Sunak didn't believe in the Rwanda Scheme as Chancellor
1. He admitted it wasn't a good enough deterrent
2. Tory backbenchers look set to rebel against his bill
3. A challenge to his leadership is real possibility
Rishi Sunak's Last Stand - The plot to replace the PM
Tory MPs are plotting to remove Sunak, with Penny Mordaunt tipped to replace him.
There was no budget-bounce-back, and their polling performance hasn't improved.
Sunak’s leadership hangs in the balance.
@BNGardnerUK
Spot on. The Tories can only blame themselves when Labour inevitably wins a 200 seat majority. Reform UK have every right to challenge them.
Can Hunt fix Rishi's Recession?
The UK is in Recession - and Labour blame Sunak.
In reality, growth has been stagnant since 2008.
At next week's Spring Budget, Hunt has one final chance to save Sunak's premiership.
13 years of failure:
- Our asylum system is broken - for legal migration
- The government is doing nothing to prevent illegal migration
- Hence the only way people arrive is on small boats
- We spend £8 million a day of taxpayers money putting migrants in hotels

Is Keir Starmer Headed for a 1997 Déjà Vu in the 2024 Election?
1. Starmer lacks the popularity of Blair
2. He deserves credit for transforming Labour
3. He is benefitting from continual Conservative scandals and crises
He won't achieve a majority as big as Blair in 2024.

Clock's Ticking: When will Rishi Sunak call the election?
Sunak’s decision to delay the election beyond May has frustrated the political opposition eager to unseat the Tories.
The PM is buying time, but he may be doomed whatever he does.
And now his party has turned against him.
I know everyone can see we're headed for a Labour government, but its rare for a party to essentially admit defeat 2 weeks out from polling day. Proper last days of Rome feel to this campaign
🚨 BREAKING: The Tories appear to have officially admitted defeat
Official party line: “Only the Conservatives can win enough seats to prevent an unaccountable Labour majority”

New Short Post on Medium:
Sunak’s smoking ban fractures the Conservative Party
The two dominant Conservative traditions, paternalism and libertarianism, came to blows over this law.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer says there will be "no more money" into the NHS without reform
"I'm not prepared to see even more of your money spent on agency staff who cost £5,000 a shift."
Stunning exit poll, Tories in the mud, Reform better than all predictions, SNP decimated, Labour majority not as big as expected, but still enormous.
@PolitlcsUK
will keep you updated with the results throughout the night
Reform UK Surpasses the Lib Dems
1. Reform UK have overtaken the Lib Dems in the polls
2. The party is well placed to steal Tory voters
3. The return of Nigel Farage could give the party another boost and spell doom for the Conservatives
The first official contender! Will be interesting to see the balance of one-nation to right-wingers in the Tory party, given that so many MPs lost their seats, and lots of party members switched to Reform
UK Politics Weekly - Labour's impending immigration nightmare
Keir Starmer's weakest issue is illegal immigration, and only Reform will provide meaningful opposition
Read the first instalment of my weekly substack column below
The Brexit vote was called impulsively, and with no plan for how to deliver it successfully.
Had Parliament approved leaving the EU before the referendum, there would not have been political gridlock.
Expect more of this both before and after the election.
Tory MPs, members and voters feel betrayed by the last 14 years of governance, and will be attracted by Reform UK's distinctly right-wing policy platform.
New Short post on Medium
Starmer revives Labour’s love for nuclear weapons
Starmer’s new commitment to nuclear weapons represents a considerable divergence from his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn

Why Leave won the Brexit referendum:
1. Sovereignty: A desire to regain control over laws and borders.
2. Immigration: Worries about EU freedom of movement.
3. Economic Independence: A vision of trade outside EU regulations.

Nigel Farage returns, Sunak despairs.
Yesterday's YouGov polling suggests that the Tory-Reform Crossover is imminent.
The coming weeks will illuminate the true scale of the 'Farage effect'. Rishi Sunak ought to be worried.

@SkyNews
All tax cuts disproportionately benefit the rich because they are being taxed more in the first place. It’s not rocket science. Narrow minded and misleading stuff from Sky News.
Referendums have become a highly influential feature in British Politics, and yet their status continues to be shrouded in ambiguity.
The results have never been legally binding, and this resulted in turmoil post Brexit.
