In October 2004 this building on Royal Avenue was gutted by an overnight fire. Despite cracks opening on the front facade it was possible to temporarily support the facade. A facade retention scheme was completed in 2007. Hoping for the same for Bank Buildings (Primark).

Just been made aware of 33 page document published by @BelfastCentre in which over 95% of the content has been lifted directly from . @FutureBelfast is run on significant personal financial and time resource. Disappointed a private company takes advantage.

Two years ago these four Linen Quarter buildings were vacant. Today the Linen Loft, Flax House, Weaving Works and Lincoln Building are refurbished and occupied.

Artola House, Belfast. Another 19th century building refurbished and brought back into use. Designed by Thomas Jackson & Sons in 1868; same firm that designed the Old Townhall on opposite side of Victoria St.

Looks like the Art Deco facade of Dunnes Stores is about to get spruced up. Designed for Woolworths & Burtons by Woolworths’ in-house architect W. Priddle. Opened 1930 as a replacement for an earlier fire damaged building. More history from @wwdetective :

Old painted signage revealed on Bruce St elevation of the Donaldson Lyttle Building. References the John Cleland & Son Ltd printing and stationary business that traded here from construction in 1903 until relocating in the 1970s. Still operating as MSO Cleland.

Two years ago these buildings in the Victoria St / Oxford St Area of Townscape Character (ATC) were also vacant (except Bittles). Today Laganview House, Artola House and The Flat Iron are all being refurbished and reoccupied.
