I'm seeing questionable content this week so: I will never forget the nurses taking care of a baby w/a chromosomal abnormality and heart defect- she was ventilator dependent w/a poor prognosis. Her young, terrified, first-time parents had to make the decision to withdraw care 1/

before getting to hold & bathe & dress their little one after she passed, for the first and last time. Our NICU nurses facilitated all of this with the most grace and compassion I've ever seen in medicine. Will forever be a core memory re: nurses and my respect for them 2/2
