Polished ready for tomorrow and Sunday. I will stand in silence head down and I will remember. Next to everyone of us will be stood the spirits of our fallen comrades. For 2 minute's we will be together again. They gave the ultimate sacrifice and We Will Remember Them.
At 3pm I gave my last Yeoman Warder Tour. My friends and collegues toasted me off the Green at the end. I did hold back some tears but I will never admit that in public!! Lol
Every year on 10 November around 8.15 pm there is a wreath laying Remembrance Service held at Victoria Station between platforms 8 and 9 to mark the arrival of the coffin the unknown warrior.
Thank you to my Yeoman Warder colleagues past and present. Today is my last official day as a Yeoman. In my 5 years I have taken part in some of our greatest historical moments and I am honoured to have been part of that history.

The best guard post in the Tower on a morning like this.
Outside of the Queen's House in the shade. Going to be a hot week for the Coldstream Guards....
Thank you for caring . He was not just a dog he was their mascot. He died the same night as many of the men who loved him... He deserves to rest in peace.

Even though the Tower is very quiet today my first tour was great. I really enjoyed myself. no idea if the public did. lol. Someone asked if I was a professionally trained actor as my performance was great. lol just explained that as an ex armourer, I'm just great at shouting!!
There are many hidden gems of interest here in the Tower. Next time you exit the Crown Jewels building turn left and around the corner, tucked away you will find this foundation stone laid by the Duke of Wellington.
If you fancy walking ,(seeing as there is a tube strike) then get yourself to the Tower of London today.. there is hardly anyone here... I am stood here in the rain so please come and say hello...
Chest bursting moments today. My beautiful and talented daughter
@meganambxr
graduated with first class honours from King's College London (ceremony was cancelled last year due to covid). someone was obviously peeling onions close by as my eyes watered a little.
When
@meganambxr
went away to spend Christmas with her mum she left me a present . I cannot describe the pride I felt opening it up to discovered it was a proof copy of her first novel. I am the father of Megan Clawson the Author
On this day, 28th April 1987, I arrived at RAF Swinderby, Lincolnshire, and began life as an

in the Royal Air Force. The greatest decision I ever made. Thank you,

4 years ago today I took this photo from the window of the probation bedsit. It was my first night at the Tower of London... It was only after my first night did I realise the probation bedsit is the most haunted residence in the city of London....
I have looked at this lamp outside of the Kings House nearly every day for the past 5 years. There is something strangely comforting about it being perfectly Wonky..

#ScribbleSaturday
. I do not usually scribble on a Saturday but seeing as my time in the Tower is drawing ( see what I did there) to a close I thought I had better get a few more paintings of the tower done..

3 years ago today my name was added to the board in the Warders Hall. The Duke of Wellington decided in 1826 that all future Yeomen should be Sgts of Meritorious service. The names of all 411 Yeomen Warders since that date appear on the boards in the Warders Hall
There are many gravestones in our pet cemetery ( second oldest pet cemetery after Hyde Park)at the Tower but this is the one I always stop at. Especially on days when the public have tested my patience...lol
when it arrived at platform 8 at 8.32 pm that evening and remained overnight under escort of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards. (A plaque at Victoria Station marks the site).
I am sat on London tube train. the carriage is full and in my eyeline I must be able to see 100 people.. I am the only one wearing any form of poppy.. All you need to know about London.. Victoria Station is full and once again no body remembers. Am i angry or heartbroken !!
Within living memory the Medieval Palace at the Tower of London has been a home. The keeper of the crown jewels used to live there. Another

On this day, 19th July 1972,The Battle of Mirbat, arguably the finest moment in SAS history. The battle was fought in the Gulf state of Oman, with British troops supporting the Sultan of Oman. Just nine Special Forces soldiers overcame 300 Communist guerrillas, known as the Adoo

Thank you to the the people of Keynsham for a phenomenal turn out for the remembrance parade.
Tears in my eyes today to know people care.

Opening up this morning. This is my favorite door in the Tower but also the one that scares me the most (especially on lock up). Reminds me of the door in "A Christmas Carol" where Marleys face appears on the door knocker....

On this day, 11th April 2000, the author
@meganambxr
was born in Boston Lincolnshire. As well as being a published author, Megan Clawson is also the best daughter a father could wish for. Happy Birthday 🎂
So I have just put a bit of shine on my remembrance penny. This year more than any I crave the company of my comrades. Together in a couple of weeks time we will stand in silence and remember those who gave their all.

It's Good Morning from you and Good Night from me .The gates are open and my Watchman shift coming to an end. I hope you all have a great Sunday as I go to 😴
It has taken us to get to a third lockdown for me to succumb to social media. I am very much missing telling the Tower’s stories and history. Hopefully we can reopen soon!
