I’ll give you some water so you can swallow this pill: commissioners, if you don’t give description of a pose, expression, etc. then you really have no right to complain if the art is not how you “imagined”. An artist works on the info you provide, none of us are mind readers.
using CSP and wanna give a bit of 'oomph' to your coloring?

you can work with it any way it fits your style!
I've been using it for a while now and loving it, look at the soft holo effect it helped me make!!

PROTECT YOUR WORK ONLINE 📣
Glaze doesn't seem to work for everyone at the moment (plus it's still in beta, so patience)
in the meantime you can:
- use ArtShield
- resize you image into a small 72dpi JPEG when posting (which you should do already)

when you're neurodivergent and have stuff sprung on you last minute and you get close to a meltdown and people just go "whats the big deal?" I wish I could explain to you. I really do. I just cannot operate spontaneously and I cannot well enough communicate how it messes with me
im personally giving you permission to dress your dnd characters in whatever clothes you want regardless of what their class specific armor is and what they need for more ac
you cannot compare digital art to AI art, because one is a tool to help you draw, and the other eliminates the process entirely while also stealing from others.
I get asked every now and then what brushes I use, so here I go, sharing my absolute favorites (all free and for Clip Studio Paint)!
FAVE BRUSHES MASTERLIST // THREAD
in the end I think public callouts are only warranted when there is someone actively trying to harm others.
at some point the internet blurred the line between airing out personal beefs or fallouts when truthfully, it's no one's business who you argued with or why.
- THE VOID GENASI -
some info on how I envision void genasi, with a few info in addition to all I could collect and come up with, featuring my own void genasi Celeste 💫

here's a hard to swallow pill: we don't need AI to make art more accessible. it is accessible as it is. you can pick up a pencil and paper and start right now. you aren't unhappy with it being inaccessible to you, you're just bad at it and don't care to put in time to improve.
every time i see a game do gendered outfits like giving female models shorts, crop tops, anything that shows a bit of skin but covers those same areas with boring fabric for male models i instantly get that double minus sign above my head like in sims
"id prefer the hair not to clip through armor" then you will surely find an all too familiar short or buzz style to pick, I couldn't care less because there's always going to be a certain degree of clipping in any game, ADD MORE LONG HAIR OPTIONS IN CHARACTER CREATORS!!!
yall yap and bark about art costing money: but it doesnt if you just put in time to learn. it doesnt if you use the free resources artists constantly give back to their community. if its not good enough, shut your mouth, sit your entitled ass down, because no one cares.
- harmful is a way too strong word
- you can grow in any medium if you let yourself
- I don’t have the space, air flow, etc. to set up for certain kinds of traditional art
- supplies can be costly and wasting them for whimsy and mistakes gives me anxiety 🤷
drawing entirely with digital mediums is harmful and prevents growth and whimsy. you can throw away your mistakes with a button press and lose all of your doodles and sketches on hidden layers to never see again. keeping a sketchbook forces you to confront your mistakes and learn
to comment on a more mature topic on main: yes you absolutely can be ace, aro, or acearo to any degree and still draw or enjoy consuming any NSFW content, saying ace people who do either are just pretending is ridiculous. most of us can differentiate between fiction and reality.
this is your periodical reminder to please never share your own art, personal or commission (especially if its a commission), without a watermark and in 300dpi. PLEASE.
every family has the "tech guy" whos not really a tech guy, just knows how to use google and can fix stuff reliably 90% of the time through sheer willpower, but now everyone thinks they are an expert in the matter and call on them anytime they experience any malfunction
my ko-fi shops full of stuff you can get to have visuals for a character you dont need to play dnd btw, and theres a ton more too - you can tip sure, but dont have to. its FREE. and if you hate mine someone else has something similar. yall have OPTIONS.

this is my pet peeve for a day but please can we artist stop being mysterious about what we use? there is absolutely no need to be vague about the name of a brush, share a screenshot of an asset thumbnail but give no link and skirt around answering people when they ask
artists: damn my mental health tanked from how disrespected i feel as a creator in 2022
deviantart: ...anyway now ALL your art is opted-in by default to be used for ai art generators! :)
just a headsup: this place is using my picrew image as their logo without permission. doing the courtesy of blurring their name since i contacted them and hope we can resolve it in a civil manner, but if you know, you know
dumbasses will be blocked btw. "time is money, learning arts hard, boohoohoo". like yeah duh? art is some peoples living. your time and money aint any more important than mine. idk what youre trying to cook here but whatever it is, you can eat it alone lmao
people charging more for certain very much human features (talking about darker skin tones, certain hair styles, body types, etc., not stuff such as mecha or intricate tattoos and the like) is kind of a huge red flag imo
for the record - I super understand people being protective of their characters. artists make them with love, get invested in them, spend so much time developing them. that said, trampling over others over fictional characters is still not okay.
i feel like this has to be said but just because someone likes drawing ship content (SFW or NSFW though NSFW for sure attracts creeps more) of their OCs that they share doesnt mean they want you to invite yourself into their projects and stories and overstep boundaries.
no im not gonna shut up! no im not going to phrase stuff kindly! sharing art should be a joy, instead in the past years it has been nothing but a fucking nightmare because of shitty money hungry corporations who think they are entitled to your skill and work. fuck you.
how about... a

"why pay a sub if you arent doing the fights when they come out" because i can. because i am blessed enough to afford a 15 dollar sub per month to look at a catboy. why, did you think im playing xiv because im mechanically good at mmos?? i have to laugh.
I hope the ppl who celebrate this decision because they don't use light more anyway know that it's not all about preference, but accessibility. some people have legit issues reading light text on dark backgrounds and is super straining for their sight.
idk if you noticed, but most millennials/gen z barely scrape by by any jobs, even those you deem "real" over any creative industry. so again, if you want your six fingers egg yolk eyed anime girl to play your dnd game with, go ahead, but get outta my mentions too
