STOP REMAKING THE SAME MOVIES OVER AND OVER AGAIN. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE ORIGINALS AND THERE IS PLENTY OF NEW CREATIVE MATERIAL OUT THERE. NOW GET OFF MY LAWN.
I’m confused why people who promote AI writing tools can’t understand that writers actually *like* writing. Why would I want a machine to do something I enjoy doing?? That’s as helpful as creating a machine that takes vacation for me 🤣
I can’t decide on an author pic for my latest book (dark romance). Help me pick?
*And if I see one “thAts NoT pRoFesSionAl” comment, I’m setting you on fire
Please enjoy this unprofessional selfie of a mother of four, founder of Quill & Crow Publishing House, author of a painstakingly researched historical fantasy trilogy w/ three degrees—I’m sure you can see the insecurity in my fake ass eyes 🤣🖕🏼🖤
I’m about to turn in my final research paper and I’m shaking.
I can’t believe I’m going to have a Masters Degree.
It’s been 15+ years of blood, sweat & tears, starting as an almost HS dropout, to a broke single mom, to where I am now, working my way up from nothing...
Everything designed to break me has made me stronger. I’ve pulled myself out of trenches and fought more battles than you will ever know. I try to lift where I can, and love those who need it. Don’t like me? Fair—but do stay the fuck out of my way 🤘🏼
There are ABSOLUTELY men in the

who seek out new female writers on Twitter & pretend to be interested in their writing just to hop in their DMs. It’s happened to me too. The more we vocalize this predatory behavior, the better we can help protect each other 🖤
What’s the first horror movie you watched that scared the heck outta you? Leave me a gif 🖤👻
I saw mine when I was 12 and I didn’t sleep for two weeks 🤣
So apparently my kiddo (10) told his teacher that his mom writes books, and she looked it up online in class and BOUGHT IT 🤣 He was really proud of himself (and how freaking cute)...but how the fuck am I going to face her at parent teacher conferences?! 🤣
Remember when everyone complained how toxic Twitter was and fled? Well, they all moved to other platforms where all they do is rage farm and post “hot” takes for engagement…while my Twitter feed is all chill posts from friends. Go figure. It’s the people, not the platform.
Visual creative expression is valid. People who create art with their bodies are valid. People who post selfies to feel good are valid. Less shame, more thirst 💀😘

, today!
In case anyone wants to know what it’s like to be a woman on Twitter, I just had a douche bag comment: “Take your feet off the furniture, young lady 🤬” on a picture of my new shoes propped up on the desk I bought to run the business I founded in the house that I pay for.
Yesterday I posted a video about how I don’t chase men & some toothless Joe was like, “You should - after 40, no one will want you.” He’s irrelevant, but I really hate that narrative. Silver foxes are sexy, but women are supposed to what, roll over and die after 40? 🙄🖕🏼
🧵I need to get this off my chest. I’m not in publishing for me. I’m in publishing for the art. I fucking love stories, I love creativity, I love my authors (you can ask around), and absolutely love making books. I’m no pushover, and my boundaries are firm, but (1)
When you buy indie, you’re not just supporting an indie author/press. You’re supporting indie artists, editors, designers, etc. You’re helping push fresh content into the world by helping creators create. And that’s a beautiful thing.
