We started our FREE AMBULANCE SERVICE for patients who have tested COVID +ve as well as those showing symptoms. The ambulance is simply a transportation vehicle with all basic equipments, med kit & an attendant. Earlier, they were not getting vehicles due to fear of transmission.

We have printed handouts in Hindi detailing Covid treatment at home & monitoring sheets. These will be given to individuals who are either showing symptoms or have been tested +ve in mild/moderate cases. We are also in touch with doctors who will provide free teleconsultation.
A child was accompanied by his grandmother today at library, student leader was teaching grandson how to write & she held her grandson’s hand in order to learn the same. Usually we as kids learn writing & reading from our elders, but learning bounds no age & transcends any gaps.
We are so happy to inform you all that our members bagged all the prizes in the Inter School Poster Making & Essay Writing Competition organised by a Government Inter College on occasion of Savitribai Phule Jayanti. We are so proud of them.

Reading opens up multiple doors into opportunities for not only achieving success in life but also for discovering small joys. Two of our young readers are having a lovely time figuring out Yoga poses with the aid of book as they stretch their limbs & intellectual limits as well.
We believe that learning must never stop. As we are not open due to pandemic, holding true to our beliefs we haven’t stopped in these perilous times, to nurture the hunger for knowledge and growth, we now send books directly to the homes of the students as per their requests.
We, at Bansa Library, embrace freedom — from barred classrooms, and divisions of children into groups. People of all ages come and sit together in the library. Here, elder kids of 9 to 10 years also bring their little siblings in the awe of this borderless space of learning. 1/2

91 students from Bansa & surrounding villages are appearing for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship exam held in Hardoi. Due to lack of awareness and resources, only 3 students had received this scholarship so far – from the entire Mallawan block. 1/5
First General Knowledge Quiz at the Library. The main objective behind organizing such activities is to connect students to the Library. We saw an overwhelming response from the community where students not only from Bansa but also from 13 nearby villages took part.

We are hosting Summer Camp for the first time, with a wide range of interactive programs such as gratitude exercises, yoga, arts and crafts, dance, and games – complementing the routine activities like read-alouds, collective reading, academic assistance etc.
Young members of BCL read Dr Sudha Murty's books & talked about the inspiring author herself. She often caters to children in her work, drawing from traditions of 'Grandma's tales'. We hope these narratives help our young readers find & pursue their own unique & wonderful dreams.
Reading and visiting the library took a back seat due to Second wave of Covid. The Library has since reopened, children are slowing trickling back to the library and we are getting back on our feet. Our competitive exam aspirants started coming as well.

Recently, the lovely and eager students from Primary School Nibiyakheda, of Sandi block, visited Bansa Library. They were accompanied by a few teachers and their visit to BCL resulted in them wishing to set up a mini library in their own school 1/3
With support from administration, we organised a RTPCR-Antigen Covid Testing today at the Library Campus. People showing symptoms were tested, given medicines & have been put under home isolation. We have also assigned a volunteer for all these patients for better monitoring.
