One of my early published words, in the back cover of "SpongeBob Comics"
#43
. I remember being stoked when they bought this.
Also I had to learn how to make blurry effect on Photoshop to make that middle panel work. Heh!

This is probably my all-time favorite scene in a Pink Panther cartoon. There's hardly any animation, but it's timed PERFECTLY, especially the man's reaction in the end.

A really licensing from Looney Tunes, at least in Japan. Few episodes of the 1970s Go Nagai anime "Majokko Tickle" had Tweety Bird appearing in the end credits. I don't what the story behind that was, but there you go.
Tweety was removed in reruns, but here's the original.
I was vagely aware that Schulz drew "Peanuts" large, but this photo really highlights it.
According to Schulz in an interview, each panel is five and a half inches by six and a half inches.

I hosted a fun group collab with mutuals for the summer, where we drew our characters at a beach! This is the end result. It was a blast! So many characters hanging out.

A Roland and Rattfink cartoon "The Foul Kin" has an unusual smear animation that director Grant Simmons chose to use, where Rattfink "multiplies" when crossing the moat. It's used once more later in the cartoon with a dog.

I'm not much of a guy who does a ton of fanarts, but I really enjoy "Smiling Friends" and wanted to do my take on the characters, so here's the main four!

My take on
@ajmarekart
's characters. Specifically, the 1960s version he did a while back. I've been wanting to do my take on that design style for a while now, and finally got a chance to.

Cartoonist struggles: on one hand, smartphones are helluva lot easier to draw (draw a black rectangle with screen, and boom! Phone)
On the other hand, rotary phones are funnier looking and visually distinctive.

My favorite animation trivia is that, 30+ years before "Samurai Jack" and "Avatar", Mako made his voice acting debut in a "Blue Racer" cartoon, voicing a Japanese Rooster.
The weirdest part? Mako's voice didn't really change all that much in the decades between his cartoon roles

About a month ago, I sent Jim Davis a silly drawing of Garfield in time for the upcoming 40th anniversary.
Today, I got a signed drawing from him in the mail. Jim definitely has a good sense of humor! Hee hee XD

I think "Greedy Gabby Gator" is my favorite late-era Woody Woodpecker cartoon just for some of the unusual choices they made in the animation department. I wish Sid Marcus lasted longer as a Lantz director.
